e-Liquid Review: Charles Creamy Tobacco from Affinity Creations

e-Liquid Review: Charles Creamy Tobacco from Affinity Creations

Welcome back to another week of reviews folks, and what a great couple of weeks it’s going to be, because I’ve got something a little special in for review!

Affinity Creations have enjoyed quite a great start on the vape scene, from when they were originally released to the public late last year. They’ve garnered quite a following among online groups, and landed their flavours in several shops around the country.

Not bad at all for a range that was never meant to be even available to the public!

Mayan, the creator of Affinity Creations originally started by mixing her own DIY flavours, until she sent some off to a few friends to try out at various stages of their creation. Of course, they were a big hit, and she was encouraged to release them to the public.

Each one of Affinity Creations flavours were inspired with various people in mind, and in so doing were also named after them along the way, not only for their specific tastes, but also their vaping style.

Today’s review is of “Charles Creamy Tobacco” from Affinity Creations.

(This eliquid was supplied by the vendor for review.)

The Review

If you know me, you’ll also know that I’m pretty fussy with my tobacco flavours. I’m by no means a tobacco connoiseur, nor do I possess the ability to disseminate between various country specific or blend specific tobaccos besides the basic few. What I do know is that a tobacco should be pleasant, aromatic, be void of any foreign flavour notes that could diminish the enjoyment of this very adult treat. I expect smokey tones, a light waft of dryness against sweet base notes, and above all, an experience that is unmistakably tobacco.

I’m very pleased to tell you that you’ll definitely get all that from this flavour.

“Charles Creamy Tobacco is a sweet RY4 tobacco, complete with rich tasty caramel, thick and creamy Vanilla Custard and some extra smokey notes to round up the experience!”

Individual Notes

The tobacco here is a Ry4. Traditionally it is a light and sweet tobacco with caramel undertones, which this absolutely is. I notice some lovely smokey tones coming through on this one, which totally makes this entire profile.

There’s some additional caramel here, it’s delicately added, to make sure that it doesn’t overtake the tobacco, and adds further richness and sweetness to this mix.

And of course we have the Vanilla Custard. Just like the caramel, this has been tastefully blended so that it does not overtake. It’s a creamy sweet mix, with vanilla spice, and an almost marshmallow consistency, much fluffier than many other custards.

Inhale & Exhale

On the inhale, caramel and vanilla custard burst out of the gate, already blended to a savoury consistency. The sweetness doesn’t hit just yet, as the creaminess and light burnt sugar notes drive the inhale.
Getting stronger as the inhale continues, the custard and caramel begin to take on more familiar roles, sweet and creamy, still as a whole, yet beginning to separate into their own, as you get a sniff of the Ry4 shining through.

It’s at the top of the inhale, you’ll notice that the tobacco has been gathering strength behind the scenes, and begins to push through the richer, creamier mix, pulling through a sweeter aromatic leafy blend, not quite wet, but not quite dry. As a whole this caramel/tobacco/custard hits it’s peak here, but that’s not the end of it’s journey.

Sweet and creamy custard and caramel begin to contrast against a dryer flavour, and as you exhale, you’ll start to recognise it. It’s a smokiness that is reminiscent of a light burn. It’s that smokiness that I look for in a good tobacco, and this has it right through the exhale.

As you notice that smokey note, the custard and caramel work their way back into the profile, this time with a sweeter stickier feel. I’d describe it as more of a cool marshmallow, a sweeter and denser flavour that seems to contrast against the smoke creating complexity and depth, and takes this profile right through to the end of the exhale.

Final thoughts

This is a really good dessert tobacco. Often when looking at tobacco’s, I’ll notice quite a wet, and grassy note to them, peaty is probably the right word, but I’ve not experienced that at all with this flavour. The tobacco is dryer, and smokier, which helps it contrast against the sweet caramel and creamy custard.

In my opinion this is the perfect mix for this profile.
Dessert lovers will say there’s not quite enough custard and caramel here, but tobacco lovers will say there’s not quite enough tobacco. This puts “Charles Creamy Tobacco” firmly centred in the middle and shows how delicately that balance really is.

I’ve thoroughly enjoyed vaping this for the last few days, and am very much looking forward to trying all of the other flavours!

Well done guys!
