eLiquid Review 475: Blue Berrian from Stronghold Vapour

eLiquid Review 475: Blue Berrian from Stronghold Vapour

Welcome back folks, it’s Stronghold Vapour week here at Vapers Garage, where I’m taking a look at the 4 flavours on offer from these QLD based juice mixers.

So far we’ve had tropical fruits, and strawberry custard, pretty straight forward right? Don’t go getting complacent now, strap in, because this next flavour is anything but a normal profile.

Today, I’ll be reviewing “Blue Berrian” from Stronghold Vapour.
(This eliquid was supplied by the vendor for review.)

Flavour Description

A cool blueberry menthol vape. Extremely refreshing with very smooth blueberry notes and a slight menthol/Cooling sensation on exhale.

The Review

Unusual flavour combinations are my thing, and as soon as I took my first vape of this one, I was pleasantly surprised. Not just surprised at the combination of Blueberries and Menthol, but of how well it worked as well!

Just like “butter menthols” with their caramel and menthol mix, there is something about blueberry that simply suits adding menthol. Initially it might sound like a bad idea, but they work really well together.

“Blue Berrian” is a sweet, floral, blueberry blend with a significant menthol tone and a chilled exhale that will surprise you with it’s simple and unexpected flavour.

Individual Notes

The blueberry is obviously the main note here, it’s a fresh, and natural blueberry, sweet and juicy, all the while carrying with it some candy like qualities. Perhaps a cross between a real blueberry and blueberry hard candy.

I can’t help but feel as though there might be some eucalyptus here or perhaps even another fruit like apple or an acai berry, it doesn’t seem to be just a simple mix of blueberry and menthol, as there is a real tang to this that those just cannot supply.

The menthol is at a great consistency, noticeable on both the inhale and the exhale, you’ll pick up on the actual bitter flavour of the menthol too, not just the cooling effect, which of course contributes in part to the whole dynamic.

Inhale & Exhale

On the inhale, you’re treated with an instant blueberry rush. Fresh, yet slightly candied blueberry will hit you right away, smooth, with light floral hints, sweet and sticky. This intensifies through the inhale, where a little menthol joins it about halfway through, which also intensifies through to the peak of the inhale.

As the exhale begins, the menthol is already quite strong, with the blueberry coming through at a similar intensity, both intensify even further, the blueberry in volume, and the menthol in coolness rather than that bitter menthol flavour. This continues all the way through the exhale until you a left with a fruity and floral blueberry chill at the end of the vape.

Final thoughts

From the very first vape I’ve adored this flavour, it has a great presence, an unusual profile but above all, works really well.

It’s heavy enough to give you a punch of flavour, yet light enough to be all day vape material, with it’s smooth blueberry tones, tangy berry notes and chilled menthol finish.

If you’re up for something a little different, definitely give this one a shot, as if you’re anything like me, the bottle will be gone before you know it.

One for the menthol and fruit lovers, great job guys!

Blueberry

Minimal damage to wicks or coils.

A steep isn’t needed, but it can’t hurt.

The presentation of these is great! Each of the 4 flavours, arrived in grey tinted 30ml Unicorn styled bottles with security seal ring, and child-proof caps. The dispensing nibs are of a great size, small enough to fit into fill holes, but large enough to let a decent amount of juice through.

The labels are bold and professional, with the juice name, brand, profile and logo, all very noticeable and readable. It’s a simple but very clean design.

Other information on the labels includes Ingredients, warnings, RDV or Doubler checkboxes as well as the company’s website address.
