eJuice Review 354: Watermelon Cooler by Hunting Cloudz
I’ve got something a little new, but not so new, all at the same time for you all this week.
Hunting Cloudz have been around for a little while, and they were gaining a bit of traction when I first saw them.
I noticed them start to appear in handchecks and get a bit of conversation happening around them, so they must have been doing something really right!
They’ve since revamped their range with some crazy attention grabbing graphics on their labels, to match their amazing flavours! (the labels aren’t crazy of course, that was my lame attempt at building excitement).
Hunting Cloudz brand is marketed around hunting, because their creator is a hunter! He loves nothing more than long walks in the bush, enjoying the views, the clean fresh air of the wonderful mountains and forests of New Zealand, whilst casually catching small furry creatures with 1 inch flying metal shards, that travel really really fast!. 😀
While he is out there in the solitude of the bush, he invents tasty eliquid flavours, and these are the result.
Today I’ll be reviewing “Watermelon Cooler” from Hunting Cloudz.

Flavour Description:
A fresh, sweet, and juicy watermelon with a very cool hit. Keeps you refreshed. Easy to vape all day.
The Review:
They say first impressions last, and this one has made quite an impression! Think of all of those Malaysian juices that you’ve tried, you know the ones with a really chilled feel, tonnes of sweetener, and really vibrant?
This is what all of those Malaysian juices should be.
“Watermelon Cooler” is a nice and clean almost realistic watermelon with a perfect level of sweetness (minimal sweetener if at all) and a chill that will stop just short of giving you brain freeze!
Individual Notes
The watermelon in this might not be what you expect. I expected to get a really in your face candy watermelon, like many watermelon vapes are, but of course that didn’t happen. I should have known. A more realistic watermelon was what these guys were after, and they delivered.
It is still a little candy-esque, but it is predominantly a light watermelon flesh, light and watery in texture, with a touch of husk or rind appearing at times, very minimally I might add.
There has to be a few different watermelons in here, as it has a really deep flavour, there is no way that this can be so simple.
The sweetness that this juice exudes I suspect is naturally occurring from the watermelon and not from any extra sweetener added, it’s sweet enough to keep ahead of the cooling agent yet definitely not lip smacking super sweet.
Cooling agents are not equal. This one is ws-23 or perhaps Koolada, as I’m not picking up any off notes or menthol flavour coming through. It’s pure jaw freezing, mouth cooling, icy chill. Actually it’s not that bad. Picture a Malaysian juice’s chill factor and dial it back a little. It’s chilled, but conservatively so.
Inhale & Exhale
On the inhale im instantly hit by the cooling agent, right in the chops, its cold, but with it is a little sweetness and fresh fleshy realistic watermelon.
It’s refreshing and sweet, and has a really clean feel to it. Definitely an all day vape for summer!
At the turn of the inhale and onto the exhale, the watermelon intensifies and changes a little. No longer is it that watery textured flesh, but picks up a little bit of a powdered texture, not over the top by any means, and it really drives home the fact that this is a true to form watermelon vape.
It all trails off really smoothly with the cooling agent diminishing as the exhale continues, leaving a lovely sweet and rounded watermelon at the end of the vape.
Final thoughts
If you follow me on Instagram, you’ll see that I completely murdered this bottle, it’s all I’ve vaped for a couple of days, and to be honest is the only thing that I’ve wanted to.
The only thing I would have liked to see, is the watermelon be just that tiny bit stronger, so that I could really sink my teeth into it and appreciate the full depth of this wonderful mix.
Other than that one thing, this ticks all of the boxes, it’s sweet and fruity, not over the top in flavour intensity, with a healthy helping of chilled effect for that real freshness.
Loved it and looking forward to trying the rest of the Hunting Cloudz range!

Presentation:
Fantastic presentation here, Hunting Cloudz have paid attention to their labels with some snazzy bright graphics. These are sure to stand out when up on the shelf! I received 60ml Semi Transparent Chubby gorilla bottles with nozzle and child-proof caps.
They were already nic’d up as they were sent from NZ, and contained appropriate warnings, as well as all of the other good stuff, a label should have.
Test rigs:
Haku with slam cap running a single 0.17 ET coil from “Bombers Coils” on a mech mod.
OBS Engine RTA with a 0.2ohm Stainless coil running @ approx 50-80 watts.
