eJuice Review 404: The Amazonian by Vaper Empire

Today I’ve got another Mouth to Lung designed juice for you all. Just like yesterday, this one comes from Vaper Empire’s “Artisan” range. It’s a similar profile, not the same fruits, but a fruity vape, with taller notes, and quite juicy!

If you haven’t heard of these guys before, Vaper Empire have been around for many years, catering mainly to beginners with their products centred around starter kits, and inadvertently, mouth to lung vaping. So if you’re new and just getting started with vaping, give Vaper Empire a look, their eliquids are crafted just for you!

Today, I’ll be reviewing “The Amazonian” from Vaper Empire!

(This e-liquid was supplied by the vendor.)

Flavour Description

MANGO, PASSIONFRUIT & ORCHARD FRUIT WITH A TWIST OF CITRUS.
Wild and untamed, the dense jungle of Brazil is full of precious secrets. A group of European explorers returned from their expedition with gold and spices in their cargo holds and discovered the real treasure of the journey was in the native fruit delicacies they brought back. Skilled craftsmen blended their juices together and discovered a flavour completely new. This refreshing jungle juice, crafted from exotic mango and passionfruit with orchard fruit and a twist of citrus, is ideal for the discerning adventurer.

The Review:

I’ve brought out my Vandy Vape Simple EX squonk kit out to play again, so that I can give these MTL eliquids a good crack on a modern MTL device, but you can also enjoy these using Vaper Empire’s Vibe Series setup which will give you much the same sort of vape!

Onto the review though, “The Amazonian” is quite an interesting flavour, it seems to perform a little differently depending on how you vape it. I’m noticing that using a very tight MTL draw, the passionfruit and mango are creating a real orange or citrus and it seems to be more or less the dominant flavour with the individual passionfruit and mango notes falling away.

If I open up the airflow a little more for a bit of a cooler vape, this passionfruit/mango mix falls back a little allowing the individual fruits to shine through for a more complex flavour.

Two vapes in one! “The Amazonian” is either a complex range of native fruits with quite tall notes, or a juicy citrus based flavour with hints of passionfruit and mango!

Individual Notes

The Mango in this, when I notice it, is a pretty standard mango, sweet and juicy with a slightly more rounded note than the other fruits, if one of these fruits was going to provide a base or background lowness, it would be the mango.

As with the Mango, the Passionfruit is very light, not very noticeable, but when it is, provides a floral, yet sharper flavour that contrasts against the mango.

Both of the above flavours combine with another citrus to give off a real orange citrus vibe, particularly in a smaller airflow situation. It’s almost an orange/mandarin flavour, a little muted, and without the usual zing of the orange.

How’s she vape?

It’s not bad! The citrus and combined fruits lend themselves well to Mouth to Lung vaping. This one is a little less potent than yesterday’s flavour though, and I’m finding that the orange vibe that comes from the mixed passionfruit/mango/citrus is a little lack lustre, it just seems to be missing some punch, or body to it.

You’ll get more of the passionfruit and mango immediately on the inhale, it’s pleasant enough and has a nice rounded feel to it, then you exhale and it swings around to have a more watered down orange juice texture and wavering flavour.

I don’t seem to get much of an aftertaste with this one, which is also interesting, and might make it quite a good juice to take out with you on a night out (Won’t clash with whatever you are eating or drinking)

Final thoughts

A little light, a little ‘diluted’ for lack of a better word. I think this one could have worked better if the mango was a little more up front instead of having it levelled with the passionfruit.

Overall this is a fresh and clean juice, it is all day vape material and while it won’t have you changing out flavours due to being over-flavoured, it might have you wanting to switch out to something with a little more oomph before coming back to it again.

This is very much an orange/citrus mix, if even unintentionally, If you love orange or citrus flavours, you will adore this one.

Presentation:

I can’t fault Vaper Empire’s presentation, they’re branding packs quite the impact, being both polished and designed for the elite crowd. Sophistication is the word I guess I’m looking for. From the packaging of their starter kits through to the matt black labelling with gold/silver/bronze foil printing on their labels, it all just oozes class.

I received 10ml bottles of each of their flavours, each bottle is clear plastic with a black child-proof cap and needle tip dispenser.
The labels are classy matt black, with their logo and juice name printed in foil, creating quite an impressive look. They have a tonne of information on these labels, even if it is a little hard to read, including but not limited to bottle size, nicotine strength, best before date, warnings, ingredients and their web url.

Test rigs:

Vandy Vape Simple EX squonk kit with 22mm standard RDA and a mouth to lung clapton coil that ohms out at 0.9ohms.
I’ll be vaping somewhere between around 15-25watts.
