e-Juice Review: Roosevelt from Dead Presidents E-liquid

Hey gang, I’m back with another e-liquid review today. I’ve got 7 of the “Dead Presidents” range of e-juices to take a look at over the coming week or so. So strap in and get ready to hear about some of these flavours from the good old U.S. of A!

So this range is made by a premium e-Juice and vape juice manufacturer in the USA. They are focused on spicing up the vaping world, through innovation, creativity, design and dedication. Inhale & Exhale

On the inhale, the watermelon appears first, it’s pretty strong out of the gate, with it’s dry hard candy feel, and clear artificial watermelon flavouring.

As I inhale further, I don’t notice it get stronger per-se, perhaps it does get a little more intense, but my focus shifts more to the candy strawberry that starts to work it’s way into the mix. Toward the top of the inhale, this strawberry immediately resembles one of those hard glass candies, super sweet, to the point of getting sticky and tart.

At the top of the inhale the strawberry and watermelon are both at their strongest, the watermelon less dry than before being picked up a little by the strawberry, and turned into more of a blended sticky candy. You’ll squint as you hit this point because of the tart almost sourness of the blend, and quite rightly so, because that is exactly what this flavour is replicating.

As I exhale, both flavours meld into each other some more, the watermelon retaining that ‘not quite right’ feel to it, as the strawberry continues to sweeten even more. Think sharp, tart sticky strawberry hard candy washing over a dry, fake watermelon and you’re on the right track. In fact there are times, as you begin to get used to the flavour it begins to resemble apple a little. Those tart, acidic, sticky, sharp traits that you’ll get from a granny smith apple, just without being evened out by the actual flesh, but that all fades as the watermelon pokes it’s head out again, just to remind you that apple is in fact ‘not’ the profile you are vaping and washes over your palate with that familiar false watermelon flavouring all over again.

My Thoughts

To say that this flavour is sweet…. Woooooooo that is an understatement, it is so sweet that it’s almost sour!

The watermelon is that really fake watermelon flavour that never really tastes like real watermelon, rather someone’s bad interpretation of it, or the flavour you might expect to get if the watermelon was left out to dry and you scraped the dry flesh from the rind. It does get saved by the super sweet strawberry which really pulls in the profile, making sure that it tastes like it’s supposed to.

This one can be pretty startling to begin with, but smoothens out a little the more you vape it. As I’ve always said however, you shouldn’t have to get used to something in order to enjoy it, you should be able to enjoy it from the get-go.

The strawberry added was a great idea, it helps to pull this flavour into more of a hard candy direction, unfortunately this one is let down by the watermelon in my opinion. The obvious fake watermelon is a little over the top and sends the profile over the edge into the not quite right category. Having said that, it could be the exact profile you’re looking for, as it does replicate a super sweet/sour candy really well.

I don’t recommend vaping this through an RDA like I did or high wattage setup, as it will punch you square in the mouth with flavour, and you likely won’t taste anything else for days!

This one would be much better suited to a Pod device, where you need that extra flavour hit, or if you’re a full on flavour monger, and love those overly sweet flavours.

Note: I marked ‘Flavour Intensity’ as an 8. The Flavour intensity rating is for an ideal intensity, this one is really strong, too strong for me, hence the 8.
