eJuice Review 346: Mulled Cider by Sydney Vape Co

If you’ve only just tuned in, this week I’ll be reviewing the eLiquid range from Sydney Vape Co. You would have seen them around social media, more precisely, their really cool looking 8 Flavour sample pack in the lovely black case, brilliantly presented.

I’ve received one of these packs, as well as some extra bottles too, completely too much juice, but I’ll fill you in a little bit more about that tomorrow.

Yep, that’s right, I’ve got something special on the cards, that I think you all will love. But for now, you’ll just have to make do with this review 🙂

Let’s get stuck into it!

Today I’ll be reviewing “Mulled Cider” from Sydney Vape Co
(This eliquid was supplied by the vendor.)

Flavour Description:

What’s better than a warm mug of mulled cider? Enjoy country style apple cider, freshly brewed with cinnamon, anise, cloves, orange peels and lemon.

The Review:

Since I received this range, “Mulled Cider” has been on my radar. I love the idea of a mulled cider, and have been known to indulge every now and then. If you’re not familiar, I’m a huge fan of complex crafted recreational beverages. A conversation with me about craft beers, dark spiced rums, whiskeys and fortified wines can go for hours. I do love the finer things in life.

So to wave this one in front of me, you should be surprised that it wasn’t the first of the ejuices that I’ve reviewed!

“Mulled Cider” is a genuinely warm, spiced cider with tonnes of complexity. It’s an expertly blended cider with warm stewed apples, hints of cinnamon spice, anise, cloves, and a touch of citrus just to give it a little zing.

Individual Notes

The apple is lovely, combined with the spices, gives off a warm stewed apple feel, not tart at all, just sweet smooth warm apples.

The delicate blend of cinnamon spice, cloves and anise provide a really full bodied rounded back note, that is on the lower bottom end of the spectrum, the simple complexity of these don’t go unnoticed, and you’ll pick up on them mid way through the vape.

I was a little surprised to see orange peels in the description, as I do not really pick any of that up, but the lemon adds a brightness to the mix and really lifts the apple providing a little bit of zing and a slight carbonated feeling.

Inhale & Exhale

The inhale is not as you’d expect, I know it wasn’t for me! I totally expected it to be a dominant apple where the rest of the spices would appear on the exhale. Not so. The apple is of course there on the inhale, but it is accompanied by the warm sensations of the cinnamon spice, as well as a touch of clove, and that unmistakeable anise/licorice appearing on the back of the palate. The spices are not strong at all, but a brilliant support for the apple.

Over to the exhale, the warm apple and spices continue to intensify, not overly so, but just enough to provide a lovely full bodied and rounded vape. The cinnamon, clove and anise are more noticeable than the inhale, and create an almost smokey but sweet sensation. As the exhale continues, bright notes of citrus appear, raising this flavour up, and really creating some layering, yet binding everything together and creating a lovely, warm, spiced complex flavour.

Final thoughts

This one won’t be for everyone, but if you’re into spices, ciders, or some of the more complex flavours in life, this one could just be for you!
I’ve thoroughly enjoyed this juice, it’s a profile that I love, and definitely one that I’ll be coming back for more of.

The flavour intensity of this one is spot on. For a flavour such as this, too much can ruin it, but Sydney Vape Co have knocked this out of the park.

My advice? Sit back after a long slog of a day, relax yourself and enjoy this one in your own time. Take note of the inhale and exhale, and all of the spices in between.

Brilliant job guys.
