eJuice Review 320: Majik Mallow by Zombie Repellent Vapes

Today I’ve got something up for review that’s been pretty popular lately. It’s all over Facebook vaping groups, it’s got it’s die hard fans, as well as some of the better known vaper’s plugging it as a top shelf juice.

Is it really that good? Is the hype real? Let’s find out!

Today I’ll be reviewing “Majik Mallow” by Zombie Repellent Vapes!

From the website:

A magical concoction of soft gooey marshmallows blended with sweet fluffy vanilla cream.

The Review:

Like I said before, there is a lot of hype around this juice, and quite rightly so. The hype is well deserved, because, “Majik Mallow” is a deliciously creamy marshmallow, with a thick and silky texture and smooth vanilla undertones. It’s a subtle, yet sweet mix that doesn’t overpower, but hits the spot just right. You’ll keep coming back for this one!

There is one con with this juice, and while it’s a big thing for me, it may not be to you. It contains sweetener, and therefore ‘will’ gunk your coils and wicks. (Not recommended for those that use packet coils)

Individual Notes

As simple as this flavour seems, there is a little more going on than it lets on. I pick up various nuances, all with similar profiles, all coming together to create that nice thick texture and full flavour.

There are a few different marshmallows here, a softer sweeter type of marshmallow, as well as a more mature, lightly burnt marshmallow. I don’t know if there are any more than two, as that is all I can pick up on. Combined they create a really nice, slightly stronger flavour intensity than one of them alone, and they compliment each other perfectly.

There is also additional Vanilla here, it has that familiar vanilla tang, and smoothing quality that bridges flavour profiles and enhances their ability to work together.

And of course there is cream. Its a light and fluffy cream, not heavy and definitely not overpowering, in fact it lays in the background simply adding texture, a little more substance, and that nice thick full mouth feel.

I’m picking up on something else in here too. I could be wrong, but it almost feels like there is just a touch of cake batter or doughiness in here too. It could be a little sugar cookie, or a doughnut dough. It is that sort of profile.

Inhale & Exhale

The inhale is not really intense at all, I get a light cream, a touch of vanilla and a slight marshmallow feel and that is really about it.

The exhale is where all of the flavour is in this juice, at first I notice the cream thickening up, and the marshmallows intensifying, providing a light, fluffy and sweet vape.

About halfway through the exhale, it gets more complex with the secondary marshmallow shining through, the vanilla getting stronger still, and a little bit of a dough, or a cake batter nuance in the lower end of the flavour range, providing a little layering and thickening up the background.

The finish is a really sweet, light and fluffy marshmallow with tall vanilla notes and doughy tones in the background.

Final thoughts

The Majik Mallow fans have got it right with this one. It’s really tasty, thick and creamy, with a lovely sweetness and overall texture.

As I mentioned earlier, if you hate coils and wicks gunking quickly, this might not be for you, but if you’re happy to sacrifice a few extra wick changes per week, you should definitely give this one a go!

Nice work!

Where to Buy:

You can pick this up directly from Zombie Repellent Vape’s online store ( http://www.zrvapes.com.au/ ) or from many of the stores that stock them across the country.

Colour:

Caramel Tint

Aroma:

Marshmallow/vanilla

Coil and wick damage:

This will definitely gunk your coils and wicks. It took a good couple of days to get mine to a point where I really needed to change them though, so not as bad as other sugary sweet flavours.

PG/VG Ratio:

Doubler VG/PG Ratio 82/18

Texture:

Thick and creamy.

Steeping:

Great straight away, but a steep will make it even better!

Presentation:

I received a 30ml clear unicorn bottle with child proof caps. Pretty much your usual standard thin unicorn bottle. The labels are a bit fancy with some metallic print and ZRV’s guoullish zombie imagery. Quite nicely designed, and with all of the info you might expect to find on them.

Test rigs:

Haku with slam cap running a single 0.18 AK coil from “Bombers Coils” on a mech mod.
OBS Engine RTA on Revenger mod @ 80w
