eJuice Review 329: Flip Flop Lychee (Summer Holidays) by Dinner Lady

I’ve been really looking forward to this one. Lychee is an amazingly refreshing flavour, and really tasty.

Today I’ll be reviewing “Flip Flop Lychee” from the Summer Holidays range.

Flavour Description:

We took a huge citrus burst and offset it with Asian Lychee and a liberal splash of ice to deliver a taste of sunshine.

The Review:

Lychee is one of my favourite fruits and this one doesn’t dissappoint!

“Flip Flop Lychee” is a sweet fruity blend of citrus notes, and smooth lychee with it’s underlying melon and apple nuances, followed up by a sweetened and chilled exhale”.

Individual Notes

The lychee in this is wonderful, it not only tastes like fleshy lychee but contains the complexity of it also, with subtle undertones of melon and apple.

There is a Citrus feel to this juice also. More a freshly made lemonade than the fruit, it blends really well with the lychee to create a very moreish, thirst quenching flavour.

Inhale & Exhale

On the inhale I pickup a little lemon as well as the more acidic notes from the lychee like the apple. It’s not sharp, but defined, sweet and a little syrupy.

As the exhale begins, the lychee gets a lot stronger, with the background notes turning into a more solid melon like flavour. As the exhale continues this sweetens up some, as the cooling agent appears and drives the flavour home to a lovely, sweet, chilled finish.

Final thoughts

This is a really nice lychee juice, a testament to the profile, it is juice and thirst quenching whilst leaving you still wanting more.

I do pick up a little soapiness here when my taste buds have had a bit of a break from it, so slightly over flavoured, but as you vape it, that dissapears to leave a really tasty flavour.

The cooling agent is not quite as strong as some of dinner lady’s other flavours, which is a really good thing, bringing this juice back to have a more reasonable cooling effect.

70% VG / 30% PG

Texture:

Light, sweet and fruity with a cooling finish.

Steeping:

No steeping necessary with this one, but it may benefit from a short steep.

Presentation:

The Dinner Lady Summer Holidays range all come in 60ml Glass bottles with eyedropper tips on child proof caps. They also come in tamper evident seals. Each flavour has a different coloured bottle, which is some type of powder coating. ( It does scrape off if you try. Ive been doing this so that I can see how much is left in the bottle.)
Being an eyedropper, you get the usual leaking around the rim and consequent liquid finding its way down to the base of the bottle unless you wipe it every time.

The labels are very nice looking, giving off a homey feel, with the Dinner Lady and Summer Holidays logos as well as any other information you might need.
