eJuice Review 399: Sweet As – Pink Bits by Clouded Visions

This is it, the last of the 4 flavour “Sweet As” range from Clouded Visions, they’ve all been ripper juices with tonnes of sweet sweet flavour!

Joining the other flavours I’ve reviewed, this one will bring back some childhood memories if you remember ever smashing a pack of them.

Today, I’ll be reviewing “Pink Bits” from Clouded Vision’s “Sweet As” range.

Flavour Description

They are sweet, they are tangy, and if you don’t know what they are you obviously didn’t have a childhood! Sweet strawberry chews with a tart punch, KAPOW!

The Review:

We all remember these. Some would equate them to Pink Starbursts, but I remember a lolly/candy, many years ago, that was similar, and had a sweet gooey inside. A chewy strawberry delight with a blast of tart strawberry gooey centre that you just couldn’t resist sucking it instead of chewing until the inside found it’s way through and exploded with flavour!
I can’t remember what they were called, and have not seen them in years. (If you remember, please make a comment, I’d love to get some if they’re still available!)

Anyway, for those who didn’t have the pleasure of trying the sweets that I mentioned above, a “Starburst” would be the best descriptor. Sweet strawberry initially, but the more you chew the more tart it gets! A flavour powerhouse with a distinct switch in intensity, that you just cant stop eating!

Individual Notes

Strawberry. Seriously, this is strawberry. It is artificial candy and “Sweet As”, just like the name of the range.
I do detect a little bit of a gummy note in here, but beside that, I think multiple strawberries is about all there is to it.

Don’t let that fool you into thinking that this is a simple mix though, if I know Clouded Visions, they’ve spent a painstaking amount of hours perfecting this, after all it’s a unique flavour, and something that we all know how it is supposed to taste!

Inhale & Exhale

On the inhale, I’m instantly hit with a soft sweet artificial strawberry, almost a strawberry bubblegum, though, very much more like you’ve popped a “Pink Starburst” into your mouth, without chewing.

The strawberry intensifies the more you inhale, until you right to the end of the inhale, where it’s at it’s most intense.

Over to the exhale, you’ll notice that as soon as the exhale begins, you get a huge hit of strawberry tartness, just like you’d get from the real thing, and one of the reasons why this reminds me of those old strawberry chews with the gooey centre!

After that intense tartness, it does begin to fade back, and the rest of the exhale is a sweet candy strawberry vape.

Final thoughts

I’ve really liked this one. I can appreciate that it might be a bit of a polarising flavour though, a strong tart strawberry may not be for everyone, but for those who do like this sort of thing, “Pink Bits” will rock your world.

The flavour intensity is there, the description is accurate, it’s sweet without affecting wicks and coils, it ticks all of the boxes.

Another great flavour from Clouded Visions! Great work guys!

Presentation:

Always great presentation from Clouded Visions. Their basic unicorn bottles work really well, with no leaks and squeeze just the right amount of juice. I received 30ml clear plastic bottles with child-proof screw cap lids and needle tip dispensers. The labels are mostly glossy white with classy graphics, the clouded visions branding, juice range and name of juice. You’ll also find other information on there such as PG/VG ratio, and the general ingredients line.

Test rigs:

Haku with slam cap running a single 0.17 framed staple coil on a mech mod.
OBS Engine RTA with a 0.2ohm Stainless coil running @ approx 50-80 watts.
