e-Juice Review: Lush from VAPR Labs

This week I wanted something cold. Something cold but sweet enough to keep me interested, something a little dynamic and not just a single flavour. I wanted a flavour that would not only impress straight away but keep me enjoying it for days later. In short, I wanted something that was going to be cold, tasty, with a flavour that I simply wouldn’t get tired of.

I found it in my VAPR Labs stash! This one is called “Lush”, and it’s an Icy Mango Blackcurrant.

Specifications:

Inhale & Exhale

On the inhale, I instantly get that fresh Mango feel. It’s thick and volumeous already, with a sweet syrupy profile that gets stronger as the inhale continues.
Further in, I notice the Blackcurrant appear a little in the background, it’s a sweet profile, not tart like other berries, and really sinks into the Mango quite effortlessly, almost like it is happy to blend in to create a primary profile, than be it. At the time I notice this blackcurrant, the Mango is already on it’s way to splitting itself out to a more sugary sweet treat, a little candy like, the kind of flavour you might get from a Mango slushie, rather than the real thing.

At the top of the inhale is where things are the coldest, the combination of sweet syrupy mango, sweet soft blackcurrants and an icy cold blast while inhaling really gives your senses a bit of a shake!

This doesn’t last too long however, because on the inhale, the cooling begins to wind down a little, the blackcurrant smoothes further into the mango, and the Mango loses a little bit of it’s syrupy edge, slowly moving away from that full on impact of flavour, to a more subdued fruit box or mango on ice blend. Everything gets a little cleaner, on the exhale, resulting in a lovely chilled Mango right at the end of the vape.

My Thoughts

Super tasty. The Mango in this is fantastic, realistic but slightly sugary sweet slushie at the same time. I was a little disappointed with the blackcurrant however, as it’s really not strong enough to be noticeable, nor even really a very good contrasting flavour. The fullness just wasn’t there, that I’d expected to see.

A sweeter, more candy blackcurrant would have done wonders in turning this into a real intense blend of Mango and Blackcurrant, than the Mango with (maybe) a bit of blackcurrant that it is.

All in all though, this is a very nice flavour, packed full of flavour, and with a nice cold hit that will go down a treat in Summer.
