Lost Vape Centaurus Sub-Ohm Tank Review

Lost Vape Centaurus Sub-Ohm Tank Review

In today’s review, we will be looking at something that simply works. No mess, no fuss. Now, you might get a little confused, as there hasn’t been a lot of hype around this tank so far, you wouldn’t have seen much info about it floating around, and you’ll likely not find much information on Lost Vape’s website ( I couldn’t ) but rest assured it is a thing, and you can get your hands on one!

Let’s check out Lost Vape’s Centaurus Sub Ohm Tank!

Big thanks goes to Vaporstate, who sent this out for the purposes of review!

General Info

The Lost Vape Centaurus Sub-ohm tank was originally released with the Centaurus Quest Q200 Subohm kit, and is slowly making it’s way around the block now available on it’s own.
Boasting a 5ml eliquid capacity, top fill, top airflow, UB Max coil compatibility, extra glass tube, 810 drip tip, great flavour and a lovely smooth draw, this tank really is one to look into if you’re in the market for something new.

Measuring in at 26 x 57.2mm, it’s on par with such tanks as the Geekvape Z tank and Hellvape’s Dead Rabbit sub ohm series. Made from stainless steel with a pyrex glass tank, this is one clean looking atomizer, with flawless machining.

Top Cap

The top of the tank features a half turn bayonet cap, which exposes two decent sized fill ports, with a channel ring running around the centre to allow for filling to maximum capacity with no overflow.
I really like the bayonet style caps, they’re easy to use, and keep things sealed up nicely.
A quality wide bore 810 drip tip sits up top, which is nice to see, and you’ll find a slotted airflow ring below the cap.

Airflow

This slotted airflow ring has a lovely smooth movement with large holes for extra air, and stops on either side to make sure you can adjust your airflow easily without needing to look at how the airflow hole lines up.
The knurling allows a good grip on the ring without struggling with slippery hands if you’re a bit messy too.

You want wide open DTL airflow? You got it. You want a tighter restricted airflow? You’ve got that too. The airflow actually tightens right down to an almost completely closed off state, so for those of you who do like a really restricted vape, this will work for you too.

The Base/Deck

The base of the tank is your usual ‘catch-cup’ design, with push in coils. As you can see from the photo above, the airflow comes in from the top, down into the catch cup via those large slots, and then up through the UB Max coil’s airflow holes. Any seepage gets trapped in this base catch-cup design for a leak free experience.

Filling

Filling the Centaurus is very simple. Unscrew the bayonet style connection and fill from the two kidney shaped fill ports on top of the tank. The additional channel around the outside where the fill ports are, allows you to fill your tank all the way to the top without risking any liquid spilling over the sides (nice touch!)

Any Leaks?

Nope not one. Fortunately this sub ohm tank has top airflow, which will prevent any leaks.

Pros:

  • Nice smooth airflow
  • Great looking tank
  • Excellent capacity
  • Top airflow / Zero leakage
  • Flavoursome Coils
  • Additional 3ml glass included

Cons:

  • N/A

Where to Buy:

As always with Lost Vape’s stuff, you can pick the Centaurus Sub Ohm tank up through their Australian partner, Vaporstate. The Centaurus Sub Ohm Tank retails for around the $50 AUD mark, which is a pretty good price for what you get. Go check them out now.

Conclusion

A few other pieces of gear have come in lately, but I’m still using the Centaurus right now! I can say that for a subohm tank, the Centaurus ticks all of the boxes and more, and the quality of vape just doesn’t leave me any option other than to keep running it!
The top airflow directed under and through the new UB Max coils produces superb flavour, and keeps stops any opportunity for seepage or leaks. The airflow is just wonderfully smooth, and the entire build quality of this tank is top notch. I honestly don’t know what more you could want from a sub ohm tank.

Top notch work Lost Vape!
