eLiquid Review 484: Kiwi Berry by Vape Wild

If you’ve been living under a rock and don’t know who Vape Wild are, they are a huge e-liquid company based out of Texas in the US.

Roaring onto the scene a few years back, they’ve filled the budget niche quite well, providing some tasty flavours for vapers who love a low price point. With 150+ flavours in their arsenal, as well as selling various hardware and vaping related products through their website, and various franchised physical stores, they’ve grown to become a force to be reckoned with!

Today, I’ll be reviewing “Kiwi Berry” from VapeWild.
(This eliquid was supplied by the vendor for review.)

Flavour Description

[From the website]

Two fruits that complement each other so well – the sweet strawberry and its delicious cousin the kiwi combine in a fruity e-juice that you don’t want to pass up!

Primary Flavors: Strawberry, Kiwi

The Review

If you’re after something sharp and fruity, “Kiwi Berry” is definitely for you! These two very tart and tangy fruits come together to create a very intense sweet and tart combination that will have your tongue curling with the sourness it provides.

Individual Notes

Kiwi fruit is a pretty tangy flavour. It has the acidic sharpness of an apple, with an underlying sweetness and a slight seed nuance that gives it a little earthiness and an organic feel. This one is precisely that and is a great start to a tasty fruit treat.

The strawberry here is not quite a realistic strawberry but also not really a candy. Somewhere between the two, this strawberry is very tart, with an unmatched sharpness and brightness that takes this flavour to the next level.

Inhale & Exhale

The inhale is more kiwi than anything else, a sharp and tangy kiwi fruit. It hits you as soon as you begin the inhale, and keeps going, driving through to the exhale without letting up.

About midway through the inhale, you’ll notice a slight seed note appear, which also seems to stem the kiwi from getting too tangy and promotes a more fleshy and sweet flavour opposed to any tartness.

The exhale sees the equally tart strawberry coming through equalling the kiwi fruit in intensity, but this time with an unparalleled tartness. Adding to the already tangy nature of the kiwi, the strawberry takes things up a step dosing your tastebuds in a bright slightly acidic tartness to fill up the profile.

Toward the end of the exhale is a slight bitterness created by the two tart fruits coming together that only seems to last a brief moment before you finish off with a lovely sweet fruity after taste.

Final thoughts

This flavour is quite good. It’s a nice fruity blend, more on the tart side than the sweet side, but that’s the profile. Kiwi and Strawberry always work pretty well together and this is no exception.

There is a slight bitterness toward the exhale that seems to be an effect of both of these fruits coming together, creating a sharpness and then dropping off again, leaving a lull in the intensity. You might not notice it so much, but this was a little bit of a ‘con’ for me.

Otherwise, I’ve quite enjoyed this one. It’s a pretty robust, and tasty flavour that can easily be vaped all day.
