eLiquid Review 280: Jamington 2.0 by Juiced Vapour

eLiquid Review 280: Jamington 2.0 by Juiced Vapour

Juiced Vapour have revamped their original “Jamington” with a few tweaks. They’ve lessened the overall lamington, and added some extra jam.

In my review of the original, I mentioned that the jam was already quite pronounced, and the lamington notes were pretty much spot on.

Lets see how these changes have affected this one!

Today I’ll be reviewing “Jamington 2.0”!

This juice was supplied by the vendor.

From the website:

The original Lamington ejuice is better than ever!
This one isn’t as strong as the original and has extra jam! Wow and more wow!

The Review:

As I mentioned, this one was pretty good rendition of everyones favourite rich Aussie dessert, the Lamington. It had the rich chocolate, the coconut flakes, cream and ample raspberry jam. I believe I described it as a Lamington with warm raspberry sauce drizzled over it.

Juiced Vapour have lowered the flavour intensity of the original lamington and added even more Jam for this iteration, and I think the results are quite good. This is definitely better than the original, and much easier to vape all day.

Lowering the amount of chocolate and cake have done wonders for it’s “all day vapiness”, lessening the richness a little and in effect the chances of you getting over worked by the strong flavour.

The jam has been increased, but not by a lot. The raspberry is absolutely more prominent, but still does not overtake the general tone and profile of the main lamington flavour.

Individual Notes

The chocolate is still that rich decadent, dark chocolate, with a little cocoa feel to it. Less obtrusive, but still heavy enough to make sure you know that it is there.

The cake is a spongy light cake note, just as it should be. It’s not really that noticeable but gives that spongy lamington texture and feel that we all know and love.

The coconut I’m finding is dialed back quite a lot. Rather than it being it’s own flavour coming through, it blends with the chocolate and cake providing a light coconut nuance to the main lamington. I did expect this to be a little stronger, with more of a dry coconut flake feel, but it’s still great the way it is.

The raspberry jam, as mentioned, is a little stronger, which is good, and adds to the richness but also providing a little juiciness and sweetness to the mix. It is sweet, and fruity taking on more of a jam or sauce profile, rather than a fresh fruit.

Inhale & Exhale

The inhale has switch around with this new version, the raspberry is more noticeable with a little chocolate and cake falling in behind, adding richness and texture even at this early stage.

As the inhale continues and onto the exhale, the chocolate and cake become stronger, locking this down as a thicker, full bodied vape, while the raspberry jam falls back a little.

As the exhale continues, you’ll notice a little cream and coconut coming through, evening everything out and bridging all of the flavours into the wonderful mix that it is, and driving home the lamington profile right through to the end of the exhale.

Final thoughts

Jamington 2.0 is definitely lighter on it’s feet than the original, it is juicier, sweeter, and doesn’t take on so much of a rich feel. It is a brighter flavour overall, and an improvement over the original in regard to the vapeability of it over time.

Great work guys.
