eJuice Review 286: Due Time – Vanilla Bean Milkshake by Apollo Ecigs

I don’t believe that I have come across a basic vanilla cream or milkshake for a while. Most companies tend to go for more complex concoctions, focusing on adding more to create interesting flavours.
Which is really good, and we are blessed with some really cool, fun and tasty flavours.

But what about the simple things? What about that straight up vanilla, maybe a dollop of cream added, nothing more? A clean and simple mix?

Here it is.

Today I’ll be reviewing “Vanilla Bean Milkshake”!

This juice was supplied by the vendor.

From the website:

A pure, vanilla bean milkshake blended to perfection

The Review:

I love vanilla. It’s mostly unobtrusive, clean, uncomplicated, and has that pureness to it.

For many vanilla is plain, ordinary, something to offer as a default flavour. To them, Vanilla custard is the base model of all other custards. Vanilla icecream is the baseline of all other icecreams, even vanilla as a perfume is a scent to build from rather than appreciate it for the scent that it is.

To me, a great vanilla mix is not boring, it’s not the default that you turn to if you cannot find something else that you like, it’s not merely the lack of other flavours, but a scent and flavour all its own that I totally appreciate and love like many of my other favourites.

And that is what “Vanilla Bean Milkshake” is, a sweet mix of silky floral vanilla, creamy and full bodied, with no heavy extras, just smooth and tasty.

Individual Notes

There’s probably more here than there seems, and that’s always the way with a great mix.

The vanilla is strong yet smooth, but doesn’t get right up in your face. It’s silky and smooth with just enough oomph to be front and centre overlapping the creams. The floral is there, it’s noticeable but at just the right ratio, and doesn’t dominate.

The cream or milk here is light and fluffy, not quite as sweet as a marshmallow, more like a whipped cream.
It blends so well with the vanilla, you’ll think that this is purely a vanilla ice cream flavour.

Inhale & Exhale

The inhale is mostly sweet whipped cream, as I mentioned earlier, light and fluffy, with a little vanilla shining through.

At the turn of the inhale and early exhale the vanilla picks up, coming through smoothly and introducing a silky nature. The texture shines with a slight sugary grittiness, followed by a real creaminess that washes over it creating not only a lovely flavour but a pehenominally full bodied mouth feel.

Final thoughts

Ive totally loved this one. It’s thick and creamy enough to be a dessert, and light and airy enough to vape all day long. A complete joy to vape in all devices. Great job on this one Apollo!
