e-Juice Review: Berries from Simply E-liquids!

Good afternoon folks! I was wanting to get this out yesterday but being the beginning of the week, I’ve been pretty busy. So today is the day!

This next range that I’m looking at is designed to be simple, without complex flavour profiles, really, taking some of the more basic fruity flavour profiles that people know and love, and making them available under the one label. I’m sure you’ve all been in the situation where you might have just wanted a ‘straight up apple’, or ‘nothing but blackcurrant’.

The “Simply” range of e-liquids is a collaboration across 4 major brands, and the creators of “Mr Wicky”, “Alpine Cloud Co”, “Bogan Brews” and “Vapoureyes” have come together to bring you some “simple” yet tasty flavours!

Let’s take a look at “Berries” from the Simply range.

Inhale & Exhale

On the inhale, you’ll get a fairly dominant Strawberry, it’s sweet and a little tart at the beginning, gradually rolling into a more candy kind of strawberry, all the while retaining a light earthiness, an undertone of strawberry pips, giving it that genuine strawberry feel, with a candy sweet finish.

As the inhale continues, I notice a sweeter, but more even, bottom end berry flavour working adjacent to the strawberry. It feels like a light raspberry, with hints of juicy grape, a sharpness, but also another flavour to take the edge off. Anyway, at the top of the inhale is where you’ll get the most out of the Strawberry, it’s really sweet here but with that familiar pip earthiness.

As you exhale, the strawberry sweetness drops off, but the pip notes remain, as this fruity blend moulds into a more subdued berry mix, taking on a generic mixed berry feel. It’s actually quite difficult to decipher the berries used in this, obviously Strawberry is the dominant flavour, but the others are lighter touches, that really do not stand out as specific flavours, rather, blending together to create a sweet berry blend that carries through right to the end of the exhale.

My Thoughts

Personally, I’ve quite enjoyed this, it’s not the strongest flavour you’ll buy, but I can appreciate the delicate nature of a mixed berry flavour, and that going too strong, would simply blow the profile away. I like that strawberry is actually the dominant flavour, that’s not often used, and with the background mixed berry blend backing it up, it puts a unique spin on things.

I’d have liked to have seen a little more definition shining through from the other berries, something to give this flavour just that little bit more of an edge, as I found it really difficult to get any of the other berry notes out of it, besides the strawberry. I’m leaning toward there being raspberry and perhaps white/green grape somewhere in the mix, but cannot be certain.

All in all this is quite a great vape. It is definitely all day vape material, and easily something that you’ll throw into your tank without giving it a second thought.
