eJuice Review 212: Upside Down by V-Juice (VAPR Australia)

Ive heard a lot of good things about VAPR, mainly on social media, but where else do you go for information these days!

They are a husband and wife team that run a vape store located indoors at the Laverton Market Place, located at 8/18 Leakes Road, Laverton, Melbourne.

They stock a great range of hardware as well as re-building supplies in store and on their website.

Their juice range is also quite good, offering several other popular brands of eliquid as well as their new brand V-Juice. They’re promising, no added sweeteners, or other nasties and say this on their website…”this line has been painstakingly created to provide true complex flavour profiles to please the fussiest palates”.

I don’t know about you folks but they’ve got my attention, let’s take a look at their new juice line, “V-Juice”.

Today I’ll be reviewing “Upside Down”!

Pineapple upside down syrup cake with banana and coconut.

The Review:

Who would have thought banana and pineapple? And coconut? I was totally sceptical of this one. It’s one of those mixes that you suspect might work, but just can’t see how! Let me put your mind at ease, it really does work, and quite well.

“Upside Down” is a delicious syrupy pineapple and banana mix with light touches of coconut on a warm sponge base.

The pineapple and banana in this mix are as though they have been cooked, the pineapple is less atringent than usual and the banana is more like that in a hot banana custard, sweet but without any skin nuances.

The coconut is very very light, working as more of a highlight than a main flavour, and works to tie the pineapple and banana together.

It all sits atop a sponge cake, drizzled in a sugary syrupy goodness that is not only sweet but full bodied and provides that thick mouth feel.

On the inhale I immediately pick up light pineapple and coconut tones. The pineapple is like a stewed pineapple, very syrupy.

The exhale sees the pineapple pick up with a slight tartness, as the sponge cake and banana smoothly appear into the mix. They blend with the pineapple rather than becoming their own nuances to create a lovely warm pineapple and banana syrup with a light bakery note giving the illusion of a fruit sauce drizzled over light pudding cake.

For what it is, this is quite a light flavour, not muted, but blended really well as to not weigh down the vape and become very heavy. This makes it a fantastic all day vape, something that you’re sure to enjoy for extended lengths of time.

Presentation:

Some really nice presentation here, I received 30ml unicorn bottles, ready to vape.

The bottles feel great quality, smooth to squeeze with no nozzles popping off. The bottles are clear with squirt tips and child proof caps.

One thing I’m loving about these is the inserts inside the caps are all different colours. It’s a small thing but a very nice touch.

The labels are a nice satin black with their neon style V-Juice logo, a short one liner about ingredients, their website and checkboxes along the bottom for different bottle sizes.

Test rigs:

O-Atty RDA with single SS coil @ 0.2 ohms on a bottom feed mechanical mod.
