eJuice Review 150: That’s My Jam – Notorious Rasp.ber.ry by Vagabond Vapour

IMG_20170228_110521-01We all know of Vagabond Vapour right? They’ve been in the Australian vape industry for a long time now, and for some, are the benchmark of what makes for a great eliquid.

They’re known for boldly going where many ejuice vendors wouldn’t dare to travel, with their unique flavours, often times for-going popularity in order to provide niche flavours for those that have a taste for them.

Many of their previous releases, are desserts, custards and beverage type flavours.

This new range is something different. “That’s my Jam” is their fruit range. They’re sweet, they’re juicy, and they really are tasty!

Today I’ll be reviewing “Notorious Rasp.ber.ry”!

From the website:

There is no flavour description for the “That’s my Jam” juice line. I suppose the name of the juice is enough of a description in itself. (Apricot, Mango, Watermelon and Apricot)

The Review:

Talk about consistent! The “That’s my jam” range is eerily consistent. The flavour levels, the colour, the sweetness, the inhale and exhale. The hours and days that must have been poured into these flavours, I can only fathom. It takes a skilled hand to create a complex one off flavour, it takes a master to create four with identical characteristics, with the only difference being the actual fruit.

Now having said all of that, this next one “Notorious Raspberry.ber.ry”, indeed does tick all of the same boxes and follows all of the commonalities that this line has. It just has one addition that the others do not. Cream.

I don’t know why this one has the cream and the others don’t, I’m sure there is a good reason though, Vagabond really know their stuff.

I’m kind of glad they did put the cream in this as it really is brilliant, and makes a huge difference in the texture. It is still light and refreshing, but now it has a bit of contrast.

The raspberry really is a lovely raspberry, it’s bright, flavoursome, sweet, and juicy. A wonderful flavour in itself, but add some cream, oh my.

Do you remember those “Redskin Split”, or “Raspberry Splice” ice creams you would get when you were a kid?
This is totally those in vape form.

On the inhale the sweet raspberry is dominant, it’s pretty much all you notice, it’s mild but bright, sweet and juicy.

On the exhale, the raspberry strengthens, getting a little bit bitey, but only for a moment. Just after the beginning of the exhale, the creams come flooding in giving a transition from sweet and bright, to sweet, thick and creamy. The texture and contrast that this provides even in vape form is really great.

It is still just as fruity as the others in this line and still complies with the same properties, the extra cream just adds a different dimension to it.

Another hit flavour from Vagabond. Great job on this line.

This line has some really cool branding. They’re marketed as fruity, but the play on words “That’s my Jam” denotes a link to the love of music, along with the images of old-school cassettes and bright colours on the labels. All of the required information is on these cool matt black/coloured labels with an image of the relevant fruit front and centre.
