eJuice Review 174: Old Fella by Dart Vapes

Introduction:

We’ve got another newish vendor up this week!

They pride themselves on their ejuices, and use only the highest quality VG and PG as well as insisting on using the finest concentrates from around the world.

Let’s give them a try!

Today I’ll be reviewing “Old Fella”!

From the Website:

What happens when you smash vanilla custard, caramel sauce, ice cream and bucket load of sweets from the Gods.. You get ya Old Fella out and shake it all about.. Caramel GOOD, Custard GOOD, Ice Cream GOOD, put them all together GOOD !!!!!

The Review:

I really cannot get tired of custards, I love the stuff!

And let me tell you, “Old Fella” didn’t disappoint!
(Queue the teenage sniggers)

It’s a rich blend of vanilla custard, mouth watering caramel and sweet sweet ice cream, that is both complex and layered and will have you coming back for more, time and again.

I find that the vanilla custard and caramel are such a great match that it’s quite difficult to tell where the custard ends and the caramel begins, they just work so well together.

The ice cream is soft and quiet, taking a bit of a back seat to the main mix, adding sweetness and texture in support without over throwing the main flavours.

This juice is actually quite well thought out with its layering, and it shows with its depth of flavour, richness and lightness.

Yep that’s right, Dart Vapes have not gone heavy handed, but sought a more balanced flavour, rather than just pounding in some extra custard. Don’t get me wrong, there is plenty of flavour here, it is not over powering.

On the inhale I initially get light vanilla custard through most of it.

On the turn of the inhale the caramel appears, adding some richness and style, mixing decadently with the custard to form one really nice dessert.

On the exhale the vanilla custard/caramel mix continues to impress, until a new player arrives. The ice cream blends in quietly with such smooth moves that you may not realise it’s there until you get to the end of the exhale. It really does add some brilliant fluffy texture and another dimension to the already brilliant mix.

I also pick up a little cinnamon in here, not alot, just a smidge, and it’s only a passing nuance, I could be wrong, it could be a note from one of the other flavours, but I thought a mention might be a good idea anyway for completeness.

You just know when you’ve vaped a great flavour straight off the bat, you get layers, you pick up various notes, mainstays and background supporting nuances.

“Old Fella” has all of this and more. It ticks all the boxes for this dessert vaper. Great work guys!
