eJuice Review 68: Limed by Clouded Visions

limed_v3_1024x1024This is the 4th review of the Clouded Visions range, and boy will this be one to remember!
The description is a little frightening, but lets get stuck into it.

Today I’ll be reviewing “Limed”.

You can pick up the Clouded Visions range from their website @ http://www.cloudedvisions.com.au

From the website:

“For the lime lovers and not for the faint hearted. A powerful punch of sweet lime that’ll make your tongue and lips tingle, followed by a blast of icy cool menthol. A real palate cleanser.
Also known as the destroyer of coils, this stuff isn’t friendly to coils, tanks, or basically anything aside from your palate. Guaranteed to significantly shorten the life span of premade coils!

The Review:

I was a little bit scared of this juice, as I’ve read that its a pretty full on flavour, its even mentioned on the website, “not for the faint hearted”.

Theyre not wrong!

Limed is a pure citrus juice that kicks you in the balls and then slathers your tastebuds with a full on bitter and sour citrus.

It’s really not what I was expecting either. I suppose I was expecting a bit of a sweeter, lime soft drink type of flavour , its definately not that.

On inhale I get a kick of bitter lime rind that continues to grow stronger toward the height of it. This bitterness can be a little off putting to begin with, but do persevere, it gets easier as your tastebuds acclimatise to it. Once that happens, it is a welcome sharpness that adds body and depth to the flavour.
The exhale is a little bit of a relief from that bitterness, and introduces a more sour but sweet lime juice that washes through your mouth.

Im not really getting a lot of menthol, even though the description says it has it. Perhaps the citrus buries it.

I think if I was to compare the type of lime flavour that this has, it would be very similar to the iconic Bickfords Natural Lime Juice Cordial. (Pretty much one of the best lime juices you can get)

This is a tank cracker, it softens bottles, it may deteriorate your coils. So use this one smartly, not to be used in anything with a plastic tank.

All in all, I really liked this one, it was touch and go on the first 5mls but once you get over the bitterness that is in it, it is quite a nice, refreshing juice.

A perfect palette cleanser!

Colour:

Clear

Scent:

Nothing but lime

Texture:

Clean bitter tart

Steeping:

This one should be good to go, but everything is better with a steep 🙂

Presentation:

Professional presentation. Nice easy to squeeze plastic bottles with white child proof caps. The label is a gloss white label with their logo and all of the essential details. The juice name is also colour coded, which adds a nice touch.

Test rigs:

Hastur v2s with dual coils @ 0.2ohms on a coppervape squonk mod.
