eJuice Review 218: Lemon Meringue by V-Juice (VAPR Australia)

Ive heard a lot of good things about VAPR, mainly on social media, but where else do you go for information these days!

They are a husband and wife team that run a vape store located indoors at the Laverton Market Place, located at 8/18 Leakes Road, Laverton, Melbourne.

They stock a great range of hardware as well as re-building supplies in store and on their website.

Their juice range is also quite good, offering several other popular brands of eliquid as well as their new brand V-Juice. They’re promising, no added sweeteners, or other nasties and say this on their website…”this line has been painstakingly created to provide true complex flavour profiles to please the fussiest palates”.

I don’t know about you folks but they’ve got my attention, let’s take a look at their new juice line, “V-Juice”.

Today I’ll be reviewing “Lemon Meringue”!

From the website:

True decadence and spot on flavour. A thick and tangy lemon curd layered between toasted Italian meringue and a crunchy biscuit base.

The Review:

Lemon Meringue is a flavour that seems to be popping up more and more of late. It’s really only been in the last few years that I’ve noticed many vendors venturing into this type of flavour, and away from the run of the mill custards and similar desserts.

It’s a great thing that these other desserts are getting a look in, as there are so many awesome and unique sweets out there, it seems a real shame that they’ve been left out of the vape world for so long!

“Lemon Meringue” by V-Juice is a lovely sweet biscuit base, with a tangy lemon centre, topped off with a light and sweet meringue adding that thick texture and creamy mouth feel.

The biscuit base in here is very light, yet creates a great almost savoury base to layer the sweet stuff onto.

The lemon is not over the top tart, it is more of a subdued lemon with a little tang, and a sugary sweetness that really creates a nice lemon curd taste.

The meringue is a light and fluffy, yet sweet and sticky meringue that thickens everything up for a full bodied texture.

On the inhale, the lemon and meringue mix are the most prominent. They are not very strong at this point but do hold their own and together are quite a lovely sweet mix.

The exhale introduces the biscuit base that rises up from below with it’s savoury and low tones, gaining prominence throughout the vape. It doesn’t overthrow the lemon and meringue, yet is a distinctive note also.

The lemon is at its brightest on the exhale and this is where you’ll notice the light tartness. This slowly fades as the meringue takes over with it’s sugary sweetness and thick creaminess.

I have to say, the aftertaste is quite more-ish and it’s pretty hard to put this one down.

Addthis to your list if you’re looking at making an order. You won’t regret it!

Colour:

Honey tint

Scent:

Lemon / Meringue

Coil damage:

No noticeable damage

PG/VG Ratio:

30PG/70VG

Texture:

Full bodied, light sweet and sour

Steeping:

Steeping is not necessary with this one but it may help smooth the mix up a little.

Presentation:

Some really nice presentation here, I received 30ml unicorn bottles, ready to vape.

The bottles feel great quality, smooth to squeeze with no nozzles popping off. The bottles are clear with squirt tips and child proof caps.

One thing I’m loving about these is the inserts inside the caps are all different colours. It’s a small thing but a very nice touch.

The labels are a nice satin black with their neon style V-Juice logo, a short one liner about ingredients, their website and checkboxes along the bottom for different bottle sizes.

Test rigs:

O-Atty RDA with single SS coil @ 0.2 ohms on a bottom feed mechanical mod.
