eJuice Review 285: DSRT – Mint Chip Milkshake by Apollo Ecigs
So far, Ive been pretty impressed with the range of juices that Apollo have to offer. They’ve been some great flavours obviously created by someone with a tonne of experience and a large knowledge of background notes and supporting flavours.
Let’s see what today’s flavour has to offer!
Today I’ll be reviewing “Mint Chip Milkshake”!

The Review:
I don’t know if you all might remember it, but a favourite from my childhood, was a milkshake, with chocolate and brittle spearmint shards sprinkled on top and throughout. I honestly don’t even remember where it was from, but it was a flavour and texture sensation.
This is what “Mint Chip Milkshake” reminds me of!
The milkshake or ‘vanilla icecream’ is obviously the dominant base flavour, but mixed with it are chunks of milk chocolate and mint pieces that together, take it in turns in challenging the ice cream, and creating a wonderfully dynamic and interesting vape.
Individual Notes
The ice cream, as I mentioned is very much a vanilla bean ice cream, with a light creamy consistency and a smattering of sweet vanilla.
Choc chips are next in the list, are they milk chocolate? Dark chocolate? I feel it’s between the two, benefitting from traits of both. The creamy milk chocolate blends nicely with the ice cream mimicking it’s consistency, and the decadent dark chocolate supports the mint, giving it a contrasting note to prop itself up from.
Last but not least, the mint. I get the feeling that there is a little spearmint here, despite there not being any mention of it anywhere in the description. It’s not strong, but added to a little menthol gives a subtle mint bite without taking over and turning this into a total icy menthol hit. Just a touch is enough!
Inhale & Exhale
The inhale is dominated by the vanilla icecream, of course it’s not overpowering or even overly strong on the inhale, but it is a lovely rounded base note, that the other flavours build from.
At the turn of the inhale and onto the exhale, the chocolate and mint appear at the same time. Not suddenly mind you, but a smooth transition, almost as though they are rising through the vanilla.
They battle back and forth a little taking turns filling your palate with contrasting notes, creating a real flavour impact.
As the exhale continues, the vanilla bean ice cream picks up again, mellowing the other flavours, to leave a brilliantly smooth and even mix of all three right to the finish.
Final thoughts
A tasty mix here folks. Ive loved it. Beware, however, that this is a chocolate mix and by its very nature is probably going to gunk your coils and wicks.
Unfortunately it is the nature of the beast. I think this one is totally worth it though.

Love the presentation of these bottles. It shipped in a 60ml fat unicorn bottle with needle tip and child proof cap. The labels are of a professional layout in green, white and black. It contains the juice name, juice line name, and all of the other information you’ll usually find.
Test rigs:
Hadaly RDA with single SS coil @ 0.3 ohms on a bottom feed mod.
HAKU RDA with single SS316L coil @ 0.29ohms on a regulated mod running 50-80 watts.
