eJuice Review 138: Vanilla Storm by Blended (DJs Vapes)

IMG_20170114_130402-01DJ’s Vapes have sent me a bunch of flavours to try. The first 3 are from their new juice line “Blended”.
Which they are going to expand their business with over here in Australia.

If you don’t know who DJs Vapes are, they are a company based out of the Bay area in Northern California and have been in operation since mid 2012.
They mix all of their flavours in house, using USPS grade ingredients, with a small team able to bottle by hand, up to 4000 bottles per day.
They warehouse their products here, so when you make an order, you are only paying local shipping via Australia Post.

At the moment, DJs Vapes are moving servers and creating a new website, so for now, you can only place orders by contacting them through their Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/djsvapes/) or Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/djsvapes/) , I will update this post with their website url when it goes live.

Let’s get into the review!

Today I’ll be reviewing “Vanilla Storm”.

The Review:

I love Root Beer, and for that matter, Sarsaparilla, Dr Pepper, and many other flavours that others totally hate.
I suppose its a personal taste thing, and some people just do not appreciate the complexity, bite and tones that are present in the root beer family.

A root beer usually consists of Vanilla, Wintergreen and sarsaparilla, anise or licorice notes. There are so many different blends, you’ll be hard pressed to find any two with exactly the same feel.

Vanilla storm is quite a nice mix, sarsaparilla is the main note, with undertones of licorice, wintergreen and vanilla. It’s a rich blend that is clean tasting, yet thick, sweet and cool. Great for a palatte cleanser or a hot summers day.

On inhale I get cool wintergreen with a thick sarsaparilla coming through. It’s got a great contrast of flavour.

Exhale sees the flavour ramp up a bit and the vanilla begin to appear and smoothen everything out.

During the exhale I pick up a small licorice note also. It adds a touch more complexity and rounds out the sarsaparilla allowing the vanilla to blend in even more.

This is a pretty good root beer. Definately one of the better ones I have tried. If you’re looking for something different and appreciate licorice and root beer type flavours, you should check this one out!
