eJuice Review 95: The Doug Life by The Manic Vape

The Manic Vape have been around for a while now, and have quite the line up.

I’ve previously tried a couple of their flavours and was quite impressed, so have been really looking forward to trying the entire range.

So here is my first review of the Manic Vape range.

Today I’ll be reviewing “The Doug Life”.

You can pick up The Manic Vape range from their website @ http://www.themanicvape.com.au

From the website:

“AN EXOTIC BLEND OF WATERMELON, GRAPE, APPLE, SWEET CITRUS, FRESH AND EXCITING WITH A MENTHOL KICK. THIS JUICE IS PERFECT FOR USE AT LOW AND HIGH WATTAGES.
Inhale: Sweet Fruits with slight Menthol
Exhale: Juicier with a bigger Menthol Hit.”

The Review:

The Doug Life is one of those flavours that menthol lovers will cling to. Not unlike Mt Baker’s “Thug Juice” in regard to the menthol hit, it can be overbearing for some, yet others will swear by it and it will be their all day vape. Obviously this all comes down to each person’s preference and tastes.

The first time I vaped this juice I could have sworn that it was way too much menthol, and way too much flavouring as all I was getting was a mentholated soapy flavour.

But in the interest of science I persisted and as my palatte acclimatised to the menthol, I found myself tasting a lot more of the other flavours and the soapiness all went away.

Now I am getting a nice backnote of grape, apple and watermelon coming through the strong cooling menthol.

On inhale its all menthol, even though I have gotten used to it, at this point the other flavours are just not strong enough compared to the menthol to come through on the inhale.

Exhale is where the magic happens. It’s All menthol at first, a really cold vape, then as the grape, apple, and watermelon kick in, a slight warmth floods the vape making these more noticeable.
Each vape seems to differ. One moment I’ll get a slight apple and apple skin flavour, the next its all grape. The watermelon is usually noticeable alongside each of the others.
After this, the menthol quickly takes over again, and I get a really cold but sweet watermelon finish.

Whilst not something that I would personally vape all day, this will be a great mix for a menthol lover, and a brilliant cool vape for the summer months.

If you love your menthols, this one is a must try.
