eJuice Review 79: Caramel Coconut Cookies by Contraband Vape Co.

contraband-logoThis is my second review of flavours in the Contraband Vape Co’s range.

Today I’ll be reviewing “Caramel Coconut Cookies”.

This juice was provided by the vendor.

You can pick up the Contraband range from their website @ http://www.contrabandvapeco.com

From the website:

“Who doesn’t love cookies?!

The Review:

Well you definately can’t say that Contraband’s juices don’t pack flavour! This one is another that will kick you in the tastebuds!

I get a lot of coconut from this. Actually not a lot, “a hell of a lot”.
It’s pretty much all that I can taste, there are moments here and there where I pick up a little bit of sweet caramel, but it’s gone just as quickly. I’m not getting any kind of cookie or bread notes here at all.

Unfortunately the coconut in this is also quite bitter.
When I first tried it, it was like vaping a firey, floral, coconut oil, it wasn’t smooth at all, and definately not an overlay of flavour.
Now that my tastebuds have acclimatised somewhat, the coconut is not so bad, and i begin to notice the caramel a little more. My sense of taste has now blocked out the florals and harshness, however it still hasn’t left me with a great impression.

On inhale, its all harsh Coconut, nothing more nothing less.
Exhale gives me more coconut, but towards the end a slight sweetness and a little caramel coming through.

I definately have not mixed these down incorrectly, as I did several other juices at the same time, and they are fine, but it feels like it when I’m vaping this juice.

I suspect that there may have been too much concentrate used, or some type of super concentrate was used. There are some tones that I pick up in these flavours that remind me of when I tried out some super concentrates a while back.

So in closing, as with Strawberry Cheesecake, you’ll get smashed with flavour from this juice, which could be a good thing if youre just converting from cigarettes. Your tastebuds won’t be optimal and youll need a juice like this to get some flavour.
However if you’ve been vaping a while and/or you are sensitive to strong flavours, you might not like this one so much.

As always, give this a crack, after all, taste is subjective, and you may have a different experience than myself.

Colour:

Clear/Light Honey tint

Scent:

Coconut

Coil damage:

No gunking coils.

PG/VG Ratio:

30PG/70VG singler (Ready to vape)

Texture:

Full thick texture

Steeping:

Probably a good idea to steep this one, to help the caramel notes co.e through.

Presentation:

Gold! Awesome gold glass dropper bottles. And not just the standard dropper bottles, these are child proof and have a really nice seal, so when using, the juice can be drawn up cleanly without leaving it dribbling down the side of the bottle.
