eJuice Review 365: Wonderland by Redback Vapery

eJuice Review 365: Wonderland by Redback Vapery

This week’s reviews are of juices from a fairly new Aussie vendor.

Redback Vapery released their brand late last year with flavours that they’d been working on for quite some time, not content with basic flavours, these guys revel in coming up with full bodied, deep flavour experiences and their range of flavours reflects that in all it’s glory.

These guys are based in Sydney, NSW, and have some pretty interesting flavours, lets see how they go!

Today, I’ll be reviewing “Wonderland” by Redback Vapery.

(This eliquid was supplied by the vendor.)

Flavour Description

This is a tribute to those days of fun at Sydney’s Wonderland. The banana, peanut butter, caramel and fairy floss are the true heroes in this vape. If you love sweet vapes, then this is for you!

The Review:

This one is quite the interesting flavour. A thick full bodied flavour machine, with each note intricately balanced against the rest creating a lovely rich dessert.

This is Banana and nut all the way through with hints of rich caramel, deepening the experience, and fairy floss, adding sweetness and blending everything together so smoothly!

Individual Notes

The banana here, while not of real banana, is as realistic as you’re going to get with flavourings, it has a thick texture, a little bit of peel, and carries throughout the vape in this one.

Peanut butter is also quite noticeable here, it is a rich note, with a slightly sticky feel to it. Blending really well with the banana, almost creating a cavendish note, it layers close to the top of the tongue and is also always noticeable throughout the vape cycle.

Hints of caramel appear here and there in this juice also. It is a rich caramel, but much less noticeable than the banana and peanut, hinting at your tastebuds, and acting as a complimentary flavour, deepening and adding a little more complexity to the vape.

Fairy Floss. You might not notice it straight away, but it is there, purely to add a little sweetness and to smooth out the rough edges, helping the other flavours combine and mesh with one another. A genius addition.

Inhale & Exhale

The inhale of “Wonderland” has a real banana and nut feel to it. Perhaps not so much nut, but more a banana / tobacco feel. Very cavendish. Of course there is no tobacco here, but the realistic and warm notes of the banana, give this a really rich feel right off the bat, with hints of nut appearing and hints of rich caramel filling in the gaps.

At the exhale, everything intensifies, with the banana getting a little stronger, however the peanut starts to get a little more momentum than the rest, mixing with the caramel and really defining this juice further. The caramel deepens this flavour, giving it some extra complexity and creating a lovely full texture.

The end of the exhale is complimented with a Fairy floss note, working it’s way in, adding some sweetness and really pulling everything together into a really rich deep flavour.

Final thoughts

It’s a great mix, and I like how Redback have paid extra attention to how each note reacts with the others. There are no overbearing nuances here, none of the notes fight for dominance, instead, working together and seamlessly blending, each note appears at different times of the vape.

Vape this on a really wet wick, and you’ll get the full range of this flavour, it is a deep, and satisfying vape, something that will be appreciated by those who love desserts and richer flavours. Definitely a great start and introduction to this range!

PG/VG Ratio:

70%VG / 30%PG

Presentation:

Quite nice presentation here. I received 30ml stubby chubby gorilla bottles with childproof caps, and needle tip nozzles. The bottles are clear with the Redback Vapery label firmly affixed. The labels are white with splashes of colour, the liquid name, company logo, bottle size and vg/pg ratio. I would have like to see some warnings or standard ingredients list on here, the information on the labels is a little sparse.

Test rigs:

Haku with slam cap running a single 0.17 framed staple coil on a mech mod.
OBS Engine RTA with a 0.2ohm Stainless coil running @ approx 50-80 watts.
