eJuice Review 316: Miss Cookie Baker by Vintage Cloud Co
I’ve reviewed two fantastic flavours from the brand new Vintage Cloud co range so far. They’ve both been tasty, and full of flavour, really setting the bar for the rest of the flavours to live up to.
How will today’s flavour compare? Let’s take a look.
Today I’ll be reviewing “Miss Cookie Baker”!
This juice was supplied by the vendor.
From the website:
Raspberry and apple sugar cookies!!
The Review:
Straight away, this one has blown me away. Who would have thought to mix raspberry and apples together, let alone combining them with a sugar cookie base! Is it a toffee apple, is it an apple crumble? I reckon that it’s the best bits of both.
“Miss Cookie Baker” is a totally tasty juice made from completely conflicting flavours that surprisingly just work really well together. Raspberry and apple combine to provide a fruity and juicy primary flavour, backed up by a biscuity sugar cookie base note.
Individual Notes
The apple in this is a really sweet and tart apple with a little bite to it. Think of biting into a fresh granny smith apple and you’ve got a pretty good idea of the apple note.
Blending with the apple is a little bit of raspberry, it’s more of a sweet candied raspberry without the usual tartness. It’s also not as noticeable as the apple, falling in behind in support of it rather than being at the forefront.
The sugar cookie gives this juice a nice thickness, it’s a sweet light bakery note that isn’t over the top, yet provides a little more substance to the juice than if it were fruits alone.
Inhale & Exhale
The inhale is mainly of the tart apple and raspberry. Combined they create a lovely sweet candy toffee apple type of flavour. Remember the toffee bars with the red and green wrappers? That’s it right there, but you’re teeth won’t stick together.
The apple is more pronounced than the raspberry, giving that real tart apple note, with the raspberry more of a supporting note with a sweetness that counters the tartness of the apple.
At the end of the inhale and onto the exhale, the sugar cookie kicks in. It’s a little doughy, and as the exhale continues, thickens things up nicely gradually over time. The finish is a doughy toffee apple crumble to die for!
Final thoughts
I love this one. Is unusual enough to keep me interested, has enough fruits to really pop those high notes out, with a subtle and doughy base to tie it all together.
Great work on this one!
