eJuice Review 378: Barton Gold by The Barton Vape Co

eJuice Review 378: Barton Gold by The Barton Vape Co

It’s taken me a while to get to this range unfortunately, not due to choice of course, but because of the mountain of reviews that I’ve had queued up in front of them.

It’s been difficult holding off on these, as there has been quite an amount of people reassuring me that this range is one of the best in Australia when it comes to tobaccos.

Of course tobacco flavours can be controversial, as it’s really hard to get them right. It’s very difficult to mimick the smoke, that feeling you get when you smoke a cigarette, and turn it into a vape flavour.

The Barton Vape Co, is a play on words, due to these guys running Vape4Life, one of the best stores in Adelaide, located in, you guessed it, the suburb Thebarton. (The-Barton get it?)

Anyway, onto the review, let’s see what this tobacco range is like!

Today, I’ll be reviewing “Barton Gold”.

(This eliquid was supplied by the vendor.)

Flavour Description

A light tobacco flavour that is smooth, smooth, smooth!

The Review:

I chose “Barton Gold” as the first of the flavours to be reviewed, as I just knew this would be the lightest tobacco of the lot. In addition, it said smooth in the description, and it just sounded like a good juice to start off with, from a benchmark perpective.

If The Barton Vape Co, can nail a light and smooth tobacco, then the rest will be fantastic!

I wasn’t let down!

While “Barton Gold” contains the typical tobacco vape juice vibe, both the good and bad that come with it, the negatives are minimised. This juice has been focused on that genuine smoke feel and smoothness to the vape rather than pumping it full of artificial flavour, instead using a light touch to make this a great smooth tobacco.

Individual Notes

I’d liken Barton Gold to a mid strength cigarette, it has just enough flavour to know what it is supposed to be, yet extra light to make sure this flavour can be vaped all day.

The main tobacco note is slightly wet and grassy, some find that it’s a little nutty, unfortunately that undertone is hard to avoid with the concentrates available.

There is also a mild sweetness here too which I find feels a little out of place.

What I do like is once you get past those minimal nuances, you’re left with a fairly straight forward smokey tobacco note.

Inhale & Exhale

The inhale is mostly grassy tobacco notes to begin with, some will say it’s nutty, but to me it’s a strange mouldy note. It is much lighter than many other tobaccos, so this strange nuance is minimised.

At the turn of the inhale and onto the exhale, the dampness, sweetness and nutty grassy feel begins to fade, bringing on a light smokey texture, drier than before and driving this juice home to quite a genuine tobacco exhale.

Final thoughts

This is quite a good tobacco vape. While there is a little bit of that sweet grassy/nutty note to it as many tobaccos do, it is understated, and kept to a minimum.

The smokey notes, and that throat hit really make this flavour a pretty genuine tobacco, and the lightness and smoothness of the vape are really convincing. These things combined turn this into a “pick up and vape” flavour that seasoned smokers will appreciate.

Where to Buy:

You can purchase this flavour as well as the rest of “The Barton Vape Co” range of eliquids, directly through the Vape4Life ( https://www.vape4life.com.au/ ) website, from any one of their 3 stores, or from one of the other vape shops stocking their selection of ejuices.

Presentation:

I’m really liking the clean professional presentation of The Barton range. It’s straight to the point, clear and concise, and visually appealing. I have right here, 30ml black tinted LDPE bottles with child-proof cap and needle tip dispenser. The labels are professionally printed, with a different pattern for each flavour, the Barton Vape Co logo front and centre, as well as the juice name, and the words “Ready to Vape”.

As for information on the labels, they have the usual stuff, but a little more interesting, this is the first time I’ve come across an Aussie vendor going to the trouble of mentioning nuts, soy and dairy. Specifically, “May contain traces of tree nuts, soy and dairy”.
If indeed many eliquids “could” contain any of these things, this should be on every bottle from every vendor. Great work on that guys.

Test rigs:

Haku with slam cap running a single 0.17 framed staple coil on a mech mod.
OBS Engine RTA with a 0.2ohm Stainless coil running @ approx 50-80 watts.
