eJuice Review 21: Outerworld – Pollux

As mentioned in an earlier post, I took part in the Outerworld juice trial. This was one of the flavours that I trialled and reviewed.

Description:

Baked apple pie with generous lumps of vanilla bean icecream

Initial Juice Trial:

Day 3: Small Chamber A6 RDA (0.8ohm single coil) @ 15-20W istick 50
Mouth to Lung hits
Colour: clear
Scent: Caramel/Sweet baked goods
Inhale: Apple
Exhale: Pie crust/caramel/custard/cinnemon
On the first pull, apple, which is surprising because many apple pie vapes never put enough apple in there. I am getting a little floral note in there, perhaps this needs to steep a little longer. Thick whole flavour which is what you look for in a dessert vape. Very moorish.

Day 10: Small Chamber A6 RDA (0.8ohm single coil) @ 15-20W istick 50
Mouth to Lung hits
Less apple as time goes by, but still enough to come through. There is still a little floral note there but has a nice balance of baked crust, vanilla, cinnemon etc..
A good mix.

Day 13: Kanger Subtank (0.6Ohm OCC) @ 25W on istick 50.
Lung Hits
Colour: clear
Scent: Caramel/Sweet baked goods
Inhale: Apple/Vanilla/Sweet Baked goods
Exhale: Cinnemon/Sweet Baked goods
In a subtank this shines a little more, the floral note is all but gone, I can barely taste it now. At 25W on the subtank, the flavours combine a little better. the pie crust melds with the apple, and its difficult to decipher between the two, they have become one lovely flavour. I have noticed the cinnemon a little more on the exhale, but not overbearing or anything. Im picking up a little custard in there too, this may just be a by product of the vanilla melding together with the pie crust.

Once I put this in the subtank, the bottle seemed to disappear, so I must have enjoyed it!

Pros
Nice full flavoured dessert vape.

Cons
Floral note when fresh

Revisited

I didnt want to believe the other reviews about how obtrusive the perfumy flavour coming through was, as my experience was that it was there, nothing to be too concerned about though, but then again, I had let this one steep a bit initially.

Now that I have a 30ml that hasnt had the time to sit, I am actually getting a good whack of perfume flavour to it. Don’t get me wrong, its not a bad perfume flavour, but noticeable non-the-less.

I will give this one a few more days with the cap off, to get rid of the perfume scent.

Edit: After a week or so sitting with the cap off, the perfume flavour is now gone, and I’m once again left with a delicious applie pie juice! Talk about getting the concentrate levels just right!
