Fixed: Fixing the dry hit issue with the Kanger Subtank rebuildable head

I was excited to get my Subtank mini, really excited.

Finally an RTA that I can rebuild AND use premade coils with!

As a vaper, there is nothing worse than being stuck somewhere with a burnt wick, or a broken coil on your rebuildable, having the option to be able to just screw in a new head in an emergency was the major selling point for me. What an awesome idea!

As with anything being almost too good to be true, it usually is.

I was riddled with dry hit issues whenever I rebuilt the rebuildable head in this thing. It didnt matter how I wicked it, I just could not run it above 20 Watts, without a surprise dry hit every so often. It was maddening to say the least. I looked at every youtube video under the sun, and tried everything. But whatever I tried, no difference. There was always that dry hit.

Anyway, to cut a long story short, I was looking at the premade coils and wondered why they had the wicks feed from the side, whereas the rebuildable head had a kayfun-esque style feed to the wick. It just seemed strange to me.

At a loss of what to do with this thing, I bit the bullet, and drilled out the casing to match the holes in the premade coils.
From memory, I think I used a 2mm drill bit, it could be a 3mm. Try it out yourself!

I have not had a dry hit since!
