eLiquid Review 262: Pear Enough by Cloudy McCloud Face

eLiquid Review 262: Pear Enough by Cloudy McCloud Face

Following on my last review of the Cloudy McCloud Face range, I’ve picked up another one of their flavours in the hope that the first was the beginning of good things to come.

I’ve been on a bit of a fruit binge lately, so another fruity vape was in order.

I found this juice line during my latest visit to Vapen in Adelaide, South Australia.

Today I’ll be reviewing “Pear Enough”!

This e-liquid was not supplied by the vendor, it is store bought.

From the website:

Poached Pear dripping with Syrup and dusted with Cinnamon

The Review:

This one is quite an interesting flavour. Whilst you might expect it to be a bitey yet sweet pear, a real fruit mix, it’s not exactly that.

“Pear Enough” is a slightly tart yet sweet natural pear, with sharp high notes and light acidic notes, very green applish. In contrast to that, there is a smooth thick syrup, and the perfect amount of cinnamon, just to spice things up a little.

Individual Notes

The pear is lovely and refreshing. It has a nice sharp bite that many others lack, with light acidic notes, very reminiscent of a fresh green apple. It also carries a nice sweetness to it too, very refreshing.

I cannot really tell what type of syrup is mixed in here, but it’s a great addition, it kind of adds a sweet low note giving a little body, as well as that little something extra that stabilizes the pear. I’m thinking that it’s not really a maple type of syrup, rather a caramelized brown sugar.

The last ingredient that I get from the description is the cinnamon. Normally a cinnamon vape will send up red flags for me, as they are usually overpowering, but this is just perfect. The cinnamon has been added simply to accentuate the sugars, and tone the pears down. I doubt that it was even designed to be tasted as a seperate note. If you didn’t read the description, you may not even notice it. It hides between the caramel sugars and the pears, acting as a bridge between the two.

Inhale & Exhale

On the inhale its all pear, you’ll pick up the lower fruity nuances of the pear and a touch of the syrup at this point. It’s more sweet than tart, packs a lot of flavour and really sets the scene for the rest of the vape.

At the turn of the inhale and onto the exhale, the higher tart pear notes begin to shine. That sharp acidic yet fresh pear flesh flavour is really at its peak here.

As you continue the exhale, the lower caramelized sugar note begins to show through a little more, adding some body and depth, rounding out the pear, and providing a brilliant contrast.

The cinnamon doesn’t really ‘appear’, it is there throughout the entire vape, but it is more noticeable on the exhale, and really backs up the syrup quite well. It’s not overbearing and simply accentuates the other flavours without coming to the forefront as its own nuance.

Final thoughts

This is a lovely vape, it carries the full range of taste with it’s tart yet sweet pear, caramelized sugar, and spiced cinnamon, taking you from sweet low notes, to high tartness, and back to a sweet spiced finish.

It is a high impact flavour, that will strike you from the first vape, and have you enjoying the contrast between the refreshing fruit and full bodied spices all day long.

Nice work on this one!
