eLiquid Review 269: Bula Boso by Sticky Fingers

eLiquid Review 269: Bula Boso by Sticky Fingers

We’re up to the 5th review from the Sticky Fingers range of eliquids folks and today I’ve got something a little different for you. Up until now many of the flavours have been candy or fruit based, quite sweet.

But today’s is dessert based. Its creamy, with a tropical twist.
Sticky Fingers have done wonders with the fruit and candy bases, let’s see how they go with a dessert!

Today I’ll be reviewing “Bula Boso”!

From the website:

Inspired by our brothers in the South Pacific, Fiji. Smooth, fresh and creamy, this one tastes like sunshine in a bottle! A delicate blend of Coconut, Strawberry and Crunchy Biscuit, Bula Boso will leave you wanting more.

The Review:

I read coconut, and my enthusiasm just shrunk. Everyone knows that I hate coconut vapes, I find them medicinal and the flavour base just doesn’t agree with me. So on first toot, I was really hoping that it wasn’t a main note, and just a backup nuance.

Happily I was right!

“Bula Bosa” is a thick and creamy, crunchy biscuit, very cheese cake-ish, with hints of strawberry and a very light back note of coconut!

Individual Notes

The cream and biscuit here are a great start to something special, they’re sweet, rounded and give off a lovely bakery vibe. The cream and biscuit certainly do compliment each other nicely.

The strawberry is light and more of a real strawberry than a candy. Its an earthy flavour that doesn’t get up in your face, but strengthens the whole mix by blending in and adding some natural sweetness.

The coconut is definately not a bad coconut like I’d expected. As with the strawberry, it’s quite light and is more of a back note that just adds even more substance to the mix. It dances back and forth creating very much a shaved coconut feel mixed in with the biscuit.

Inhale & Exhale

Its mainly cream and cheesecake on the inhale, its light and not at its full potency yet. The cream is very much a sweet cream and the cheesecake, well what can I say, it has a light sour note, and is sticky and creamy. A typical cheesecake if you will.

The exhale brings all of the flavours out at their full intensity, the cream and cheesecake get a little stronger, but the strawberry really comes into things quite nicely. Its not strong, but blends well with the existing flavours and just makes its presence known, without dominating.

I pick up on the biscuit next, its a cheesecake base type of biscuit, with it’s rounded notes and bakery texture. The coconut seems to appear at about the same time almost as though the biscuit is what is containing the coconut. It flitters on the edge of your tastebuds as more of a backup complimentary note than a full blown flavour. It’s subtle, but adds a little extra complexity and dimension.

Final thoughts

A great job on a thick and creamy dessert vape guys, I particularly like how the biscuit sneaks in on the exhale adding a bakery note when switching between inhale and exhale. The coconut is not a problem, its sweet and very much a subtle nuance that does add to the whole experience.

I quite liked this one, and would definately give this one some more vape time when I’m not doing reviews.
