eJuice Review 283: Zour – Watermelon Berry from Apollo Ecigs
Today I’m onto something a little different from across the ditch. The next few flavours that I’ll be reviewing have come from Apollo Ecigs based out of California, USA. Most are manufactured by Apollo, however this one is made by Ruthless Vapor, out of Ontario, CA for Apollo. This flavour is from the Zour range of eliquids.
Today I’ll be reviewing “Watermelon Berry”!

The Review:
Always sceptical about American juices, I wasn’t sure whether to look forward to this one. On the one hand I was excited, the labels are great, they’re bright, professional and do a great job of building the curiosity. On the other hand my history with juices from the USA hasn’t been great. Don’t get me wrong, Ive come across a few gems, but just as many overflavoured and over sweetened flavours also.
“Watermelon Berry” didn’t disappoint though! It’s a sweet and tart mix of smooth candied watermelon, with hints of tart strawberry and I suspect blackberry that provides a tang and instantly grabs your attention!
Individual Notes
The watermelon is great. It’s candied but also has a texture similar to a real watermelon, juicy yet slightly powdery in texture. This part of the flavour is very sweet. There is definitely some artificial sweetener here, but somehow doesn’t make a mess of coils and wicks which is a huge plus!
The strawberry is a tart and realistic strawberry with a sweet upturn that lifts everything up and brightens the vape.
I suspect there is a little blackberry here too. It’s similar in tartness to the strawberry and just adds a little more complexity keeping things interesting. It melds well with the strawberry and is not really noticeable as its own note, more a support for the strawberry and adding a little body.
Inhale & Exhale
The inhale is mostly sweet clean watermelon with a hint of strawberry, but at this point not at it’s maximum intensity.
At the turn of the inhale, the strawberry and blackberry mix strengthen smoothly to provide some tartness against the sweetness, giving a tangy sour vibe. It’s not a sudden hit, but takes over with a gradual intensity.
As the exhale continues, the watermelon picks up, as well as the sweetness driving this flavour home with a really smooth and sweet finish.
Final thoughts
I quite liked this. Many watermelons that I’ve tried before have been a little lack-lustre and lose their flavour over time, but this one is packed full of flavour right up to the final vape.
“Watermelon Berry” is also surprisingly clean for a juice with so much sweetness, I have had minimal gunking of coils and wicks.
A job well done on this juice guys, it’s a great juice for summer and ticks all of the boxes!

Steeping is probably a good idea for this one.
Presentation:
Love the presentation of these bottles. It shipped in a 60ml fat unicorn bottle with needle tip and child proof cap. The labels are bright and funky with the juice name and logo clearly displayed with a comic book style female giving it a retro vibe. There is tonnes of other info on there such as the standard nicotine disclosure, ingredients list and other warnings.
Test rigs:
Hadaly RDA with single SS coil @ 0.3 ohms on a bottom feed mod.
HAKU RDA with single SS316L coil @ 0.29ohms on a regulated mod running 50-80 watts.
