eJuice Review 105: Watermelon Cotton Candy by Bottled Clouds

img_20161207_093507Bottled Clouds have been around for a few years, but until late, access to their juice range has really only been through facebook and private messaging.
This has all changed now as they have created an online store, and made it easy to get access to them.

Their original recipes haven’t gotten a lot of attention outside of their local market, so I’ll be reviewing a few of their juices and letting you all know how I go!

Today I’ll be reviewing “Watermelon Cotton Candy”.

You can pick up The Bottled Clouds range from their website @ http://www.bottledclouds.com.au

From the website:

“Fluffy, sweet, juicy slices of Watermelon”

The Review:

Quite a nice flavour, it’s a little refreshing, very sweet with some nice watermelon tones. Rather than a real watermelon, this to me is more of a watermelon jelly candy.

I fear there is a decent amount of sweetener in this, I get a real sugary consistency on the tongue when I vape it. It could be the ethyl Maltol (cotton candy) or additional sweetener. I won’t speculate which as both can give similar effects.

On inhale I get a rush of sugar mainly, the watermelon doesn’t really make an appearance yet, I get a light undertone but nothing really noticable, more of a light watermelon candy after the flavour has worn off.

The exhale is where the watermelon kicks in, it’s still very light against the sugar, but after all it is supposed to be a cotton candy flavour!

There are moments when the watermelon comes across as realistic, but mostly it’s more of a candy flavour, most likely due to the sweetness.

The end of the exhale is a sugary watermelon rush. Definately not dry, I’m left with quite a moistness on the lips along with a sugary sweetness that you can literally taste when you lick your lips.

Quite a nice change from my usual vapes, refreshing and sweet, just in time for summer!

Colour:

Light copper tint

Scent:

Watermelon candy

Coil damage:

This juice will gunk your coils due to added sweetener, my wicks also turned fairly dark and needed changing out every day whilst vaping this one.

PG/VG Ratio:

There is no information on PG/VG ratio on the bottles, however I received 30ml singlers, and going by the consistency and vapour, I am guessing that they are between the 50PG/50VG – 30PG/70VG.

Texture:

Sweet, refreshing watermelon

Steeping:

Steeping is probably not required, but it can’t hurt 🙂
Mine has been steeping for approximately 32 days.

Presentation:

Basic labelling in black on white with juice name and “Bottled Clouds” logo. (no other information)
Bottled Clouds use standard plastic squeeze bottles with needle tips, and child proof caps for their 30ml bottles.

Test rigs:

Odis O-Atty with single ss contact coil @ 0.2ohms on a coppervape squonk mod.
Serpent Mini RTA with 0.6 ohm single Clapton at 30 – 50watts
