eJuice Review 75: The Pink Heifer by Clouded Visions

Here’s the 11th of my series of Clouded Visions eJuice reviews.

Today I’ll be reviewing “The Pink Heifer”.

The Review:

This flavour smells fantastic. After giving it a little whiff a week or so ago, Ive been really looking forward to it.

As simple as the flavour profile is for a strawberry milkshake, its actually quite a difficult one to get right. Trust me it’s not as simple as mixing strawberry and milk concentrates together. The flavour Is quite a delicate one to get correct, so very accurate percentages are essential.

I’m not getting slapped with flavour nor am I getting a lashing of richness.
Knowing that a modern strawberry milkshake is predominately sugar with a slight strawberry tone, I pretty much expected it to be this way though.

I do have to say the strawberry mix is done quite well, much better than others that claim an authentic strawberry milk or milkshake flavour.
It is light, candied, and subtle, so as to not overpower the milk aspect.
The milk is also quite a delicate touch, too much vanilla and it would turn into a custard, not enough and it would be off milk. It’s certainly mixed to the right consistency.

On inhale its all about the sweet strawberry, its light, a little tangy and takes the stage for only a short while before the creamy milk rushes through and takes over the inhale with its thick sugary creaminess.

Exhale is a combination of the strawberry, vanilla and cream, with the vanilla and cream again dominating, and the strawberry, which is quite smooth at this point, ating more as a background note.

There has definately got to be sweetener in this one, I am certain of it, how much and of what kind I cannot be sure, but the sweetness of the cream, you just can’t get that without some kind of sweetener.
It hasn’t destroyed my coils yet, so perhaps its not a lot, which would make sense considering the lightness of this juice.

Edit: I jumped the gun a little yesterday when I mentioned sweetener in this juice. To be honest I wasn’t entirely convinced as there was no distinctive sweetener taste, I assumed there may be due to the extra sweetness that I was getting, so I apologise for that. Having vaped the last of Pink Heifer this morning, on fresh tastebuds, I am now realising that the extra sweetness that I’m getting is actually a secondary strawberry, playing off of the first. Very nice little trick guys. You had me fooled for a little bit 🙂

Getting the profile right on this one would have been a long time in the making. Well done Clouded Visions.

Nice creamy thick mouth texture

Steeping:

A nice long steep will be beneficial due to the milk and creams.

Presentation:

Professional presentation. Nice easy to squeeze plastic bottles with white child proof caps. The label is a gloss white label with their logo and all of the essential details. The juice name is also colour coded, which adds a nice touch.
