eJuice Review 139: Strawberry, Pineapple and Evo by DJs Vapes

IMG_20170114_130650-01The next flavours that I’m going to review are not from the “Blended” range, these are flavours that DJs Vapes have on offer from their standard range.

If you don’t know who DJs Vapes are, they are a company based out of the Bay area in Northern California and have been in operation since mid 2012, with their own physical store.
They mix all of their flavours in house, using USPS grade ingredients, with a small team able to bottle by hand, up to 4000 bottles per day.
They warehouse their products here, so when you make an order, you are only paying local shipping via Australia Post.

At the moment, DJs Vapes are moving servers and creating a new website, so for now, you can only place orders by contacting them through their Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/djsvapes/) or Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/djsvapes/) , I will update this post with their website url when it goes live.

Let’s get into the reviews!

Today I’ll be reviewing 3 flavours in the one review from DJs Vape’s standard range. “Strawberry”, “Pineapple” and “Evo”.

The Reviews:

Flavour:

Strawberry

Colour:

Clear
A fairly basic strawberry. I don’t detect any additional flavours in here, I believe that it is a basic one concentrate flavour.
This is earthy, and tart primarily. There is quite a bite to it.

Inhale is tart and dryish, mostly a bitey fleshy strawberry flavour.
Exhale carries that very same flavour through but with a little added sweetener that tones down the tartness toward the end.

A straight up, no fuss strawberry.

Flavour:

Pineapple

Colour:

Clear
Another fairly basic flavour, there are no additional flavours in here, its just pineapple.
It is a lot less harsh than many I have tried which is a big plus, many can get right on the sour/bitter side, and I just can’t vape them.

Inhale is straight up tart pineapple.
Exhale is a lot sweeter, just like enjoying a fresh pineapple at the beach. It’s a nice fleshy flavour, not over the top and with quite a sweet aftertaste.

Flavour:

Evo

Colour:

Clear
There is no flavour description for this one, but I believe it to be a mix of the two previous flavours, a strawberry/pineapple mix.
Both of these flavours on their own, aren’t too impressive, very straight forward flavours, combine them though and you get a much more complex, and fulfilling experience.

Inhale is more pineapple than strawberry, but there is a hint of the strawberry coming through.
Exhale sees the roles swap completely. The strawberry picks up on exhale and the pineapple falls aside, leaving you with a sweet and sugary strawberry finish.

A very good mix, and a great example of how two flavours can come together to create something great.

Coil damage:

None of these flavours damaged any of my wicks or coils, they may slightly due to some sweeteners but there was no noticeable damage during my testing.

PG/VG Ratio:

All 3 of these flavours are 30PG/70VG

Steeping:

No steeping required for any of these.

Presentation:

These 3 flavours from DJs Vapes standard range came in 30ml plastic unicorn bottles, with squeeze tips. The labels are fairly basic with the flavour hand written on them. I’m uncertain if this is how they arrive if you order from them.

Test rigs:

I used a 22mm Kennedy RDA with dual SS coils dialing in at about 0.32ohms on a Sigelei Fuchai @ 60 watts
