To celebrate their launch we are going to run a competition to give you all a chance at winning some of Beastly Vapes flavours!

For each of the Beastly Vapes juice reviews, (Including this one) Beastly Vapes and I will be running a Facebook competition to give you a chance to win one of these awesome new flavours! A 100ml bottle of each of them in fact! You can check out the VapersGarage Facebook page for more details.

Today I’ll be reviewing “Ravens New Moon”!

From the website:

As the raven was sitting in the tree, he noticed something shiny on the window sill.

What he found was this freshly baked pie, with a fluffy golden meringue and a warm buttery lemon filling.

The Review:

Well folks, we’re onto the last of the “Raven” range of flavours from Beastly Vapes, and what a juice to finish off with!

“Ravens New Moon” is a thick, creamy and buttery Lemon Meringue Pie, that is not only sweet but a little more decadent than your usual pie!

I’m finding that this is a little sweeter and a lot more custardy than many other lemon meringue pies. There is a lovely buttery note in here that is reminiscent to the buttery note in many custards as well as richer dessert flavours.

The pie base is more of a cake base than a biscuit base, which makes this a lot richer and closer to a lemon cheesecake but not quite as it doesn’t exhibit the cheesecake tartness. The lemon sees it come close but not quite.

In contrast, the meringue is light and fluffy, it has an air about it which is a nice touch. A little bit akin to sweet cream, and providing some smoothness to the mix.

On the inhale I get mostly meringue and lemon. The lemon is not astringent and acidic, it’s quite smooth, and the buttery notes cling to it creating a smooth and syrupy lemon filling.

The exhale sees everything ramp up, the lemon climbs so does the meringue. This is where I first notice the base. It’s not a biscuit or Graham cracker base, it is sweeter and more pastry, giving off a real sweet cake feeling. I’d like to say pudding but it’s not as rich as that. Somewhere inbetween a pudding and a light sponge cake.

It all blends together wonderfully for the final thick, full bodied and creamy finish. Definately an all day vape for dessert fans. A top notch lemon meringue that sets the bar even higher.

Great work guys.
