Today I’ll be reviewing “The Raven”!

From the website:

A fresh take on a old favorite juice flavor Apple & Blackcurrant topped off with a balance of forest fruits and a note of mysterious elder flower just showing in the background.

The Review:

This one is quite an interesting flavour, i knew this would be a little different, but I totally did not expect this flavour profile.

“The Raven” is quite a floral, and musky elderflower with background notes of green apple and blackcurrant.

It could be just my palate, but I am finding the floral and musky notes of the elderflower to be the primary nuances in this juice. I know that the description says that it just shows through in the background but it’s quite strong to me. Having said that, it’s not a bad flavour, quite nice in fact, with a real floral, and a light dryness to it. Very musk-like.

After a few days of vaping it and also leaving the cap off of the bottle for stretches of time, I’m finding that the elderflower has subsided a little and now notice a lot more of the apple shining through. I must say, the elderflower and apple are a really nice combination, they work well together.

The blackcurrant is less noticeable and seems to be a supporting note for the apple, helping to bring the tartness forward striking a little more balance with the elderflower.

The inhale is predominately elderflower with a hint of tartness from the apple shining through. It’s floral and slightly dry, but as the apple settles in it provides a little tartness and moisture.

The exhale sees everything intensify, with the apple getting a little stronger and the blackcurrant also showing through supporting the apple. The elderflower is still there, but trails off slightly toward the end of the exhale, mixing with the other flavours leaving a light musky, yet tart vape. The fruits also provide some contrast against the florals, giving a deeper fruitier feel.

An intereresting vape, and a profile that is totally different than the usual flavours around.

Personally, I think dialling the elderflower back a little would benefit and help this flavour fit in with more palates, but it could also just be me who can taste it so strongly.

If you’re keen on a floral, musk-like vape, you’re going to love this one!
