eJuice Review 134: Raspberry Mocha by Vaporfi

IMG_20170114_131453-01So, Vaporfi have sent me some of their e-liquid flavours to review. If you’ve been living under a rock and don’t know who Vaporfi is, they are a company based out of Florida in the USA that have had some success over the years with their rebranded hardware specifically focused on the beginner market.

As a result of this, they’ve accumulated a huge range of flavours, that have received quite a few glowing reviews. In particular, I hear that they have some pretty good tobacco based flavours. (Perfect for the beginners market).

There is a tonne more information I’d like to share with you about Vaporfi, all good things, I will leave that to my final wrapup piece though so as to not let this into get out of hand.

So let’s get into it!

Today I’ll be reviewing “Raspberry Mocha”.

You can pick up the many juices in the Vaporfi range from the their website. Also Vaporfi have been kind enough to share a link with me so that my readers can get a discount. If you visit their site via the link below you will get 12% off storewide! So get on it and take a look at the Vaporfi website.

From the website:

Immerse yourself in the rich aroma of fresh coffee with Vaporfi’s Raspberry Mocha vape juice. Taking a draw of this robust e-liquid immediately whisks you away to your favorite coffee shop and into raspberry mocha bliss. The premium espresso impression marinates on the back note offering a rich layer of freshly brewed coffee, while its decadent blend of chocolate and raspberry serenade the tongue like the bubbles on a milk steamer. This premium blend is encased in emulated coffee cups to pay homage to barista and coffee enthusiasts everywhere.

The Review:

This is a totally different take on a Coffee flavour, and let me tell you it doesn’t disappoint!
Quite often coffee flavours fall very short of the mark. Whilst they do have that coffee essence, they just do not work well in e-liquids for electronic cigarettes. A lot of the time I’ll only be able to get through half of the day vaping a coffee flavour, get sick of it and then just put something else in.
It’s not that I don’t like coffee, I really really do, it just does not translate well as an eliquid.

This is where Vaporfi have mixed things up a little, and rather than have the coffee as the main note, replicating a Raspberry Mocha actually works.

The coffee is almost an espresso, but very talentedly levelled out with the other flavours, its more of a back note that comes through teetering on the edge of taking over, but never does.

The raspberry and sweet chocolate work so well together, giving a richness and decadence to the vape. They are so well levelled that neither take away from the other, nor dominate the others.

On inhale I get raspberry first and foremost. Slowly during the inhale, the chocolate blends in with it so smoothly it is really difficult to pin the exact moment it appears. The two nuances dance around each other finally settling into a lovely rich mix.

Exhale sees the coffee join in, very mildly at first, and not really noticable, until about halfway through the exhale.
Toward the end though the espresso really kicks into gear and combining with the raspberry and chocolate, finish off with a decadent and thick vape that is quite satisfying.

I’m still vaping this a day later, and have to admit, this has got to be one of my favourite coffee vapes.

Do beware, due to the chocolate, and sweeteners added, this will ruin wicks and gunk coils. It is definately worth it though, this is quite the unique flavour, and will tick all of the boxes for dessert lovers and coffee lovers alike!

Colour:

Dark Honey colour

Scent:

Coffee / Raspberry

Coil damage:

This one did gunk my coils a little, and browned my wicks quite a lot. There is some sweetener in this juice.

PG/VG Ratio:

30PG/70VG

Texture:

Thick creamy

Steeping:

No steeping necessary with this one!

Presentation:

Another greatly presented juice from Vaporfi. The 30ml bottle arrived in a takeout coffee cup!, which carried the same branding and imagery for the flavour.
The bottle inside is black glass with a black childproof glass dropper, nice professional labelling with all of the information you could possibly want included on it. Even down to the nicotine warnings etc.

Test rigs:

Odis O-Atty with single ss contact coil @ 0.2ohms on a coppervape mod and/or Frankenskull clone.
Serpent Mini RTA with 0.6 ohm single Clapton at 30 – 50watts
