eJuice Review 74: Napoleon by Clouded Visions

napoleon_v3_1024x1024Here’s the 10th of my series of Clouded Visions eJuice reviews.

Today I’ll be reviewing “Napoleon”.

You can pick up the Clouded Visions range from their website @ http://www.cloudedvisions.com.au

From the website:

“A flash black to your childhood, the classic combination of sweet strawberry, rich chocolate and vanilla unified within a full bodied creamy base. Sweet candied strawberry and vanilla on the inhale, followed by a smooth chocolate exhale and a long lasting aftertaste.”

The Review:

An interesting flavour this one, and an ambitious one at that!
How do you take 3 different flavours and layer them so that you can taste all three without it turning into a mess of flavour?
Ask Clouded Visions, as going by this juice, they know how it’s done!

“Napoleon” is a take on the Aussie favourite, Neapolitan icecream. You know the icecream that comes separated in 3 different colours (pink, white, brown) in the tub. Yep that one.

The strawberry and vanilla work quite nicely, I would have liked the strawberry to have been slightly stronger, however I do know in the icecream, that it is a really light unassuming sugary base. The chocolate is light and creamy, not at all overbearing, as many chocolates tend to be.

The flavours don’t quite seperate, as you might expect. Each is noticeable in its own right however, without ruining the integrity of any of the others. Think the melted icecream at the bottom of the bowl, sometimes you can decipher every seperate flavour, and sometimes it’s all of them mixed into one great icecream flavour.

On inhale I get strawberry first with a little vanilla. About halfway through the inhale, the creamy chocolate makes an appearance, dominating the flavour somewhat.

On exhale the chocolate, vanilla and creams really stand out. The strawberry is still there as a backnote, ever so delicate, but the dominant flavours here are the chocolate and creams. You’ll notice the chocolate trail off slightly toward the finish where the vanilla and cream take over the spotlight.

The flavour sort of comes in waves with “Napoleon”, almost as though each flavour wants to stand out on its own, but knows it’s not allowed to.

All in all quite a nice flavour this one, and true to its flavour profile.

Well done Clouded Visions.

Colour:

Caramel colour

Scent:

Chocolate

Coils:

No gunking, I imagine there will be a little due to the chocolate, after vaping it for some time.

Texture:

Nice creamy thick mouth texture

Steeping:

A nice long steep will be beneficial due to the chocolate and creams.

Presentation:

Professional presentation. Nice easy to squeeze plastic bottles with white child proof caps. The label is a gloss white label with their logo and all of the essential details. The juice name is also colour coded, which adds a nice touch.

Test rigs:

Hastur v2s with dual coils @ 0.2ohms on a coppervape squonk mod.
