eJuice Review 117: MuffinTop by Silk Road Vapour

IMG_20161212_145047-01Dessert lovers, you’re in for a treat. This week I’ll be reviewing the Silk Road Vapour range of flavours, and many of them are bakeries and desserts!

Silk Road Vapour launched late in 2016, located in the outer suburbs of Sydney. They are mainly in the ejuice business, but do sell some other accessories on their site, like wick, wire, empty bottles and PG/VG.

Let’s get into them!

Today I’ll be reviewing “MuffinTop”.

You can pick up the Silk Road Vapour range from the their website @ http://www.silkroadvapour.com.au

From the website:

A freshly baked blueberry muffin pulled straight from the oven dusted with cinnamon sugar. The perfect mix of sweet and savoury. Crispy dough on the outside, warm and gooey blueberries on the inside.

The Review:

“Hot tip: Blueberry is one of those flavours that can hide from you. You need to make sure your wick is really wet to get the full flavour of it.”

The blueberry is nice and fruity. It’s a smooth and sweet blueberry with little bite to it, just like you would get in baked goods!

I’m definately getting some cinnamon, not a lot though, which is good. I find many flavours go way overboard with their cinnamon. This is just a light dusting, exactly how the profile describes.

The muffin, “crispy dough” as it’s described, is not something that I’m getting. There is definately a bakery note there but it is more like a pie crust than a cakey muffin. Either way it is a nice flavour and acts as a great base to the other flavours.

Inhale is all about the blueberry and cinnamon with this one. The blueberry is the standout while the cinnamon helps carry it through.

Exhale sees the blueberry drop off a little, as the bakery / pie crust kicks in. The cinnamon switches from carrying the blueberry on the inhale to carrying the bakery through the exhale with a nice sweet finish.

This is quite a nice introduction to the Silk Road range, If the rest of their flavours are of this calibre, I have a lot to look forward to!
