eJuice Review 166: Mr Bear by Beastly Vapes

Introduction:

Beastly vapes is a vape company based out of South-East Queensland. They’re fairly new, only launched in January of this year, but they’re certainly making a grand entrance!

They currently have 4 flavours available, which have been in the development stage for about 12 months, which I’ll be reviewing over the next week.

They don’t just do juices though folks, so if you’re after some hardware when you’re purchasing juice, they’ve got you covered with the basic starter kit type of gear as well as great prices on replacement coils, batteries and wire.

Onward! Today I’ll be reviewing “Mr Bear”!

From the Website:

What can I say…… If you go down in the woods today you’re sure to get a surprise…..

Our current no 1 best seller and all day vape e-juice.
A smashing blend of red berries smooth delightful creams and a hint of coconut one that you just can’t put down

The Review:

So we’re down to our final flavour from Beastly Vapes.

I have to say it’s been a real pleasure reviewing this line. Every single flavour has been not only spot on to it’s description, and more.

Beastly vapes could have gotten away with much simpler mixes, but being the true craftsmen, instead, layered each flavour carefully, adding finer touches, using complimentary nuances, giving their flavours much more depth than many would have the patience for.

I really don’t know what made me leave “Mr Bear” until last, it certainly wasn’t because it is their number one seller, as I usually don’t even read descriptions until I’ve typed up my review. Perhaps it was the coconut scent that I picked up on when giving them all a whiff (everyone knows I hate coconut) or maybe I’d just categorised it as being slightly different than the rest.

Either way, “Mr Bear” is a delicious mix of various mixed berries, very subtle creams and a backnote of coconut.

The berry notes seem to be mostly raspberry and strawberry, although at times I’d swear that I notice a more rounded note in there, perhaps some cherry or even a touch of blueberry. It’s not strong, just a momentary nuance.

The creams are light! They are not heavy at all like the other flavours, more akin to a marshmallow feel than a full cream.

The coconut. What can I say, these guys have done this right. Coconut can be overbearing, even medicinal in taste, but Beastly vapes have kept this in check nicely, making sure that it is a supporting flavour and not fighting for dominance at all.

Inhale is all berries and light creams, fizzy textured yet grounded by the creams, the red berries really pop, and fill your mouth with flavour. The creams kick in toward the middle of the inhale keeping the berries in check.

The exhale sees the coconut appear very quietly, as this happens the berries change a little and subtle nuances appear, such as the cherry I mentioned earlier. The texture thickens up slightly, rounding this juice out and creating a full bodied mouth feel.

Another bloody good mix, and I can see why it’s a top seller.

Great work on all of your flavours guys.

Folks if your looking for a juice range that leans to the dessert side of things, and is not just straight up flavours, but crafted to provide layers of nuances for a richer experience, give Beastly Vapes a crack. You won’t be disappointed!
