eJuice Review 200: Moonwell by Vapesters

eJuice Review 200: Moonwell by Vapesters

Introduction:

Vapesters have been around for a little while, although relatively new, and I’ve been meaning to try their flavours for just as long.

Vapesters hail from Melbourne, and pride themselves on producing eliquids that are tasty, top quality and bursting with flavour!

Today I’ll be reviewing “Moonwell”.

From the Website:

An unexpected, tropical fusion of chilled summer fruits and veggies, with a fresh grape twist. It might sound crazy, but this unique combination is a match made in heaven. Perfect to cool your taste buds, this juice hits with the power of a V8!
Inhale: Real Grape with a summer harvest of fresh tropical fruits and veggies.
Exhale: Super cooled tropical exhale will keep your engine from overheating on a hot day.

The Review:

I read the description of this flavour before I tried it, and was instantly curious about it. Fruit and vegetables in a vape flavour?
Obviously I was in two minds about it, and was a little wary of getting stuck into it!

I had nothing to fear though, as:

“Moonwell” is predominately lovely grape juice high notes, with a subtle earthy undertone, and a refreshingly cool light menthol exhale.

I feel like there is a touch of pineapple or mixed berries here, that when mixed with grape, creates the earthy undertone. I know that some flavours just taste completely different when mixed, and can give off the impression of something else. I do wonder if that is what is happening here.
I say pineapple or mixed berries because it seems like more of a tart profile that is accompanying the grape.

In all honesty, I really don’t get much of the vegetable flavour in here. More of an earthy tone that could really be anything, it’s unusual, but to me definately not your typical mix of vegetables that you’d get alongside your steak for dinner!

The grape has a burst of flavour, it is quite strong and I’m finding it to be similar to a grape juice kind of note. It has tartness, sweetness and a few rough edges.

The earthy tone that I get here as I mentioned earlier, seems like the bi-product of mixing pineapple or berries in with the grape. It’s as if the earthiness is created by the citrus countering the tartness and strength of the grape.

On the inhale I am getting mostly a strong tart grape juice profile. It is tart and sweet, and has a slight astringent quality.

The exhale sees the grape intensify, but then the pineapple or berries kick in countering the astringency of the grape, creating a new earthy base tone.
About halfway through the exhale, I get a rush of light menthol that lasts right through to the end of the vape, giving me a cool and refreshing blast that really finishes this flavour off nicely.

I quite like this flavour, perhaps not as much as Vapester’s other flavours, but it is a nice change from the normal grape bubblegum flavours out there.
I love that Vapester’s have gone off the beaten track with this juice, and total respect for doing something different. It’s definately paid off, as it works really well.

Fantastic work guys!
