eJuice Review 136: Milkalicious by Blended (DJs Vapes)

IMG_20170114_130402-01DJs Vapes have sent me a bunch of flavours to try. The first 3 are from their new juice line “Blended”.
Which they are going use to help expand their business with over here in Australia.

If you don’t know who DJs Vapes are, they are a company based out of the Bay area in Northern California and have been in operation since mid 2012.
They mix all of their flavours in house, using USPS grade ingredients, with a small team able to bottle by hand, up to 4000 bottles per day.
They warehouse their products here, so when you make an order, you are only paying local shipping via Australia Post.

At the moment, DJs Vapes are moving servers and creating a new website, so for now, you can only place orders by contacting them through their Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/djsvapes/) or Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/djsvapes/) , I will update this post with their website url when it goes live.

Let’s get into the review!

Today I’ll be reviewing “Milkalicious”.

The Review:

Here is a banana cream flavour, that is not quite like the others. It’s got a great level of flavour, which some tend to lack and a very noticeable sweet cream note with a light Whipped cream like note backing it up.

The banana is a lovely, realistic yet creamy banana, no peel, all flesh. I’m not really getting any candyness to it at all, which is a nice change.

DJs Vapes really laid the creams on with this one. The Butyric acid note coming across from the sweet cream is very prominent, however the addition of Whipped cream seems to mellow this out a little.

Inhale is all sweet ripe banana, with a touch of sweet cream. It’s smooth thick and creamy.

Exhale sees the sweet cream strengthen and then toward the end I pick up the Whipped cream nuances appearing to provide some depth and complexity.

The aftertaste of this is quite sugary, you can lick your lips and taste sugar all day!

Quite a nice banana cream for you fruit and dessert lovers alike.

Beware: if you have a sensitivity to Butyric acid notes, as I know many do, this one is not for you.

Colour:

Honey colour

Scent:

Banana Cream

Coil damage:

No gunking of wicks or coils

PG/VG Ratio:

30PG/70VG

Texture:

Thick creamy

Steeping:

Steeping is probably a good idea with this one due to the creams.

Presentation:

The Blended range that I received came in standard plastic bottles but with eye dropper lids. The labels are very nice. They are black labels with gold shiny foil text on them, and all of the necessary info. Very classy.

Test rigs:

Odis O-Atty with single ss contact coil @ 0.2ohms on a coppervape mod and/or Frankenskull clone.
Serpent Mini RTA with 0.6 ohm single Clapton at 30 – 50watts
