eJuice Review 216: Fruit Melody by V-Juice (VAPR Australia)

Ive heard a lot of good things about VAPR, mainly on social media, but where else do you go for information these days!

They are a husband and wife team that run a vape store located indoors at the Laverton Market Place, located at 8/18 Leakes Road, Laverton, Melbourne.

They stock a great range of hardware as well as re-building supplies in store and on their website.

Their juice range is also quite good, offering several other popular brands of eliquid as well as their new brand V-Juice. They’re promising, no added sweeteners, or other nasties and say this on their website…”this line has been painstakingly created to provide true complex flavour profiles to please the fussiest palates”.

I don’t know about you folks but they’ve got my attention, let’s take a look at their new juice line, “V-Juice”.

Today I’ll be reviewing “Fruit Melody”!

From the website:

A trio of fruits perfectly complementing each other in this delicious, smooth and complex vape.

The Review:

Another great mix here, theres a little surprise here, a little something happens when you mix these particular flavours together at this particular ratio, don’t you worry, its a good surprise, a great surprise!

“Fruit Melody” is a delicately mixed combination of low banana notes, high tangy and tart pineapple notes, and a sweet yet bright strawberry that ties everything together.

The banana here is a fleshy banana flavour, a little bit of a dirty or muddled flavour as many bananas are, compared with the other brighter notes. Thats not a bad thing, it is what it is. Some fruits carry high notes and some low notes. Banana is definately a low note that carries throughout the entire vape.

The tartness of the pineapple provides the highest note here, brightening the other flavours, with a tangyness that is both sweet and sour all at the same time.

Strawberries tie everything together, acting as a bit of a middleman for the other flavours to blend with in order to bridge the gap between the low and high notes.

Still looking for that surprise huh!? Well here it is. I’m not sure which nuances create it but can only assume it is the mixture of banana and pineapple that create a real tangy bubblegum flavour. Not so much like traditional bubblegum, but more of a juicyfruit gum.
While I’m vaping it, this nuance comes and goes, its not steady, but I’m finding myself looking for it all of the time. It seems to appear whenever I’m NOT looking for it 🙂

On the inhale I pick up mainly banana low notes, with a touch of the base of the pineapple, at this point the pineapple is not sharp, rather, a cooked pineapple syrup.

The exhale brings all of the high notes into play. Just going into the exhale is where I find I am tasting that juicyfruit gum flavour, that quickly subsides, as the brighter strawberry and pineapple tang appear, and drive this flavour home.

For a fruity mix, this flavour is not overly sweet, which is one of the things that I love about it, and helps to make this another all day vape. The JuicyFruit gum effect is also a lovely surprise that keeps things interesting and will keep you hunting for it!

Nice work guys!

Presentation:

Some really nice presentation here, I received 30ml unicorn bottles, ready to vape.

The bottles feel great quality, smooth to squeeze with no nozzles popping off. The bottles are clear with squirt tips and child proof caps.

One thing I’m loving about these is the inserts inside the caps are all different colours. It’s a small thing but a very nice touch.

The labels are a nice satin black with their neon style V-Juice logo, a short one liner about ingredients, their website and checkboxes along the bottom for different bottle sizes.

Test rigs:

O-Atty RDA with single SS coil @ 0.2 ohms on a bottom feed mechanical mod.
