eJuice Review 141: Fair Dinkum by Bogan Brews

IMG_20170123_184433-01Now that I’ve reviewed a few overseas eliquids, let’s get back into some locally made flavours.
Who better to start with than a juice line that is 100% without doubt the epitome of Aussie.

He’s been at the forefront of the Australian vaping community for years, provided us with countless top notch hardware and eliquid reviews via his YouTube channel, and helped our little community to no end with his wisdom and advice on all things vaping.

Up for review is our very own Vaping Bogan’s eliquid range, “Bogan Brews”.

If you want to try out this epic Aussie range get on over to bogan brews at http://www.boganbrews.com.au, Vapoureyes (http://www.vapoureyes.com.au), or any good brick and mortar store around the country.

Today I’ll be reviewing “Fair Dinkum”!

From the website:

A bloody ripper of an all day vape. Light and easy, just like the Mrs…
A few apples, bit of peach and just a few berries combine for a bonza vape that goes down easier than a cold beer in summer.

From the Vaping Bogan:

“I’m a bit of a fruity dickhead and I like fruit vapes, so I created this one as an all day’er. I get a strong green apple on the inhale, a nice white peachy tone in the middle with a fucking medley of berries on the exhale”
-VB

The Review:

Another clean and fruity all day vape from our favourite bogan!

When I say all day, I mean all day. This juice sits just at that right level of being strong enough to fill your senses with flavour, but mild enough to keep you interested and not get tired of it. Each flavour in it plays a role, and either enhances or helps to prevent the others getting out of control.

The apple is definately not the star of the show, it is the quiet achiever though, it’s a slightly tart but more so sweet green apple. The fleshy bits, not the skin.

The peach is full bodied with the usual sweet sweet fleshy texture. It does have a very light dryness to it as most peaches do, but it’s kept under control by the other flavours.

The berries I can only assume are mixed berries, I’m finding it difficult to pick each nuance out. Id like to say that I notice blackberry, or blackcurrant due to the bite that I get, however that could also be the acidity and bite from the apple. I am leaning toward a touch of strawberry and blackberry. This is all very lightly done mind you, hence my reluctance to commit it.

On the inhale I’m getting that green apple flesh mostly. In the beginning it’s very sweet, but as you go, the acidity and tartness pick up for a really refreshing profile.

At the turn of the inhale, the peach kicks in with its succulent flavour, and it’s slight dryness, perfectly complimenting the apple and providing a nice full body.

The exhale is peach pandemonium, this is where it really comes home. The peach takes over almost completely leaving only the slightest undertone of apple and really sweetening things up.

Toward the end of the exhale, guided by the apple undertones, the berries appear so very gradually. They’re a welcome addition, and really tame the end of the exhale. They provide a mild tartness countering the peaches sweetness, and providing that little bit of complexity to the end of the vape.

A top notch flavour that many will love, fruit and sweets fans alike.

Presentation:

I love whats been done with these bottles. Intentional or not the brown tinted glass/plastic bottles resemble the very same coloured bottles our Aussie beer icon (VB) comes in. (and other beers also of course)
The labels are clear with white text, obviously printed, but made to look like it’s been scrawled on with a white liquid paper pen with little doodles (pictures) drawn about the label. Very Australian, given our laid back attitude to such things.
The 30ml bottles are glass with a white, glass eye dropper lid, whilst the larger sizes are all plastic with the twisted sauce bottle style lids.
I also received a “Bogan Brews” stubby holder, (in picture) trust me, that is going to come in handy!
It’s all brilliantly bogan šŸ™‚
