eJuice Review 219: Coconut Splice by V-Juice (VAPR Australia)

Ive heard a lot of good things about VAPR, mainly on social media, but where else do you go for information these days!

They are a husband and wife team that run a vape store located indoors at the Laverton Market Place, located at 8/18 Leakes Road, Laverton, Melbourne.

They stock a great range of hardware as well as re-building supplies in store and on their website.

Their juice range is also quite good, offering several other popular brands of eliquid as well as their new brand V-Juice. They’re promising, no added sweeteners, or other nasties and say this on their website…”this line has been painstakingly created to provide true complex flavour profiles to please the fussiest palates”.

I don’t know about you folks but they’ve got my attention, let’s take a look at their new juice line, “V-Juice”.

Today I’ll be reviewing “Coconut Splice”!

From the website:

A punchy and popular vape juice fusing creamy vanilla ice cream with the sweet and refreshing combination of coconut and tropical fruits.

The Review:

You’d be forgiven for thinking that this flavour might be pretty intense, with full on coconut and tropical citrus fruits blasting your tastebuds, but you’d be pretty far off the mark!

“Coconut Splice” is a quiet and unassuming flavour that is light on intensity, with it’s smooth ice cream base expertly blended with highlights of lime and sweet coconut.

Everything, and I mean everything is very light in this juice. The ice cream acts as a base, and it in itself is quite a subtle flavour. It is a sweet, vanilla accented cream that carries with it a thickness in texture that sets the stage.

I feel that the tropical fruits in the description are more citrus based, yet applied so delicately that they barely register as individual notes. If I were to guess which fruits were present, and it would be pure speculation, but I feel I’m getting some lime tartness, and a little mango or peach.

The same treatment has been applied with the coconut. It’s a sweet coconut that really adds a little something extra to the ice cream, yet will constantly elude you when you’re trying to find it.

Both the citrus and coconut only barely rise above the ice cream, adding a touch of complexity with both sweetness and brightness, lifting the ice cream without detriment to the lovely creaminess.

The inhale and exhale are fairly similar here, due to this flavour being so light on individual notes, with the exhale obviously being more intense.

The exhale also amplifies the fruits with their brightness shining through the cream, only ever so slightly.

A truly delicate mix, that’s definately not a punch in the face with flavour, but a lovely, smooth light ice cream that will have you constantly vaping on it as you discover the various nuances that try to elude you.

A really nice change of pace, I’m really enjoying this one, it’s a great all day vape that you won’t want to put down.

Great work guys!

Colour:

Honey tint

Scent:

Lime / Coconut

Coil damage:

No noticeable damage

PG/VG Ratio:

30PG/70VG

Texture:

Light yet full bodied

Steeping:

Steeping is not necessary with this one but it may help smooth the mix up a little.

Presentation:

Some really nice presentation here, I received 30ml unicorn bottles, ready to vape.

The bottles feel great quality, smooth to squeeze with no nozzles popping off. The bottles are clear with squirt tips and child proof caps.

One thing I’m loving about these is the inserts inside the caps are all different colours. It’s a small thing but a very nice touch.

The labels are a nice satin black with their neon style V-Juice logo, a short one liner about ingredients, their website and checkboxes along the bottom for different bottle sizes.

Test rigs:

O-Atty RDA with single SS coil @ 0.2 ohms on a bottom feed mechanical mod.
