eJuice Review 59: Choc Mint Andes by Vagabond Vapour

chocmintandes_1024x1024Here we go folks, the fourth review in “Vagabond week”.
Today we’ve got some Choc Mint Andes!

You can pick up the Vagabond Vapour range at any good Aussie vape store or from their website @ https://vagabondvapour.com

From the website:
“Imagine the Andes running down the spine of South America, with stunning peaks and refreshingly cool winds, there’s nothing like a cup of hot chocolate spiced with mint to add to the experience. Unfortunately our Choc Mint Andes were eaten out of a box while stuck on quite possibly the world’s slowest bus.
FLAVOUR PROFILE: Rich creamy milk, dark chocolate and refreshingly cool mint on the inhale.”

The Review:

I’ve never had an Andes mint, but going by Vagabond’s description it should be a creamy milk, dark chocolate with refreshingly cool mint.
Unfortunately I don’t really get the dark milk chocolate. It took me a little while to figure this one out. For some reason I had expected the dark chocolate, (I guess the whole chocolate mint aspect) but I just wasn’t convinced. Then I realised, It’s definately not milk chocolate, but more of a powdered hot chocolate.

Not that that is a bad thing mind you, it is just a different chocolate profile. More creamy cocoa, less sugar!

The mint that comes through doesn’t seem to be just menthol, I feel as though there may be small amounts of spearmint or peppermint in there. It is really difficult to decipher though as the chocolate tends to hide other flavours and make them less noticeable. Either way, the mint is very well executed, and compares well with the amount of mint found in many after dinner mints and choc mint sweets. It’s not overbearing, it rolls off of the chocolate nicely.

Inhale is freshly brewed hot chocolate, not sweet, quite cocoa-ish. Toward the end of the inhale, the mint makes a appearance, as though you really have bitten into the real thing. Exhale is a slight chocolate sweetness with more of that refreshing coolness coming from the mint. It’s a really nice minty exhale. Done quite perfectly.

Overall this is a lovely full flavoured, and very textured choccy vape, that replicates a chocolate mint nicely.

Great job Vagabond! Again …

Where to buy:

You can pick up all of the Vagabond Vapour eliquids directly from their website (https://vagabondvapour.com) or from any one of the many, many physical and online vape stores that stock them.

Coils:

This juice did gunk my cools up a little, not a lot however, but I can imagine it might do if youre vaping this for a considerable amount of time.
Vagabond, you can be forgiven for that though, as all chocolates will gunk coils up due to the sweeteners in the concentrate.

Colour:

Dark Chocolate colour

Scent:

Hot Chocolate

Texture:

Full flavoured with creamy texture

Steeping:

Choc mint Andes will definately benefit from a steep, just due to the chocolate needing to mature. Mine has steeped for a week and a half.

Presentation:

Chubby Gorilla bottles! Hell yes! These bottles are just awesome, childproof and so easy to squeeze juice out of.
White labels with colour coded Vagabond logo, as usual very professional looking.

Test rigs:

Hastur v2s with dual coils @ 0.2ohms on a coppervape squonk mod.
Serpent Mini with single Clapton @ 0.3ohms on an istick pico
