eJuice Review 137: Arctic Go Go by Blended (DJs Vapes)

IMG_20170114_130402-01DJ’s Vapes have sent me a bunch of flavours to try. The first 3 are from their new juice line “Blended”.
Which they are going to expand their business with over here in Australia.

If you don’t know who DJs Vapes are, they are a company based out of the Bay area in Northern California and have been in operation since mid 2012.
They mix all of their flavours in house, using USPS grade ingredients, with a small team able to bottle by hand, up to 4000 bottles per day.
They warehouse their products here, so when you make an order, you are only paying local shipping via Australia Post.

At the moment, DJs Vapes are moving servers and creating a new website, so for now, you can only place orders by contacting them through their Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/djsvapes/) or Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/djsvapes/) , I will update this post with their website url when it goes live.

Let’s get into the review!

Today I’ll be reviewing “Arctic Go Go”.

The Review:

This one is a sweet sweet Mango/Menthol paradise.

The mango in this is really a fantastic flavour. It’s not often you come across a flavour that really hits you as a great reflection of the real thing, but the mango in Arctic Go Go does just that.

Its smooth, sweet, and most of all juicy! No dryness here folks, its just like biting into a real mango, and having the juice dribble down your chin.

The menthol is at just the right level, not strong enough to blow your tastebuds out, but icy enough for you to notice it, and it have a really fantastic cooling effect.

About the only gripe I have with this flavour is that there is a lot of sweetener in it, I can taste it on my tongue and on my lips, up to five minutes after a vape. And it is quite noticeable whilst vaping.

On inhale its all about the mango, its sweet and juicy, strong, but not overdone. Accompanying the mango, the menthol is a nice smooth transition, on the inhale it more or less just dances across the tongue letting you know that its there, but not giving its full effect.

Exhale sees both the mango and menthol intensify, throughout the entirety, and it’s about halfway through that they both reach their crescendo. The mango is strong and fruity, and the menthol packs its full punch cooling your mouth. Its also about this time you really start to notice the sweetener. It’s quite strong but works as far as taste is concerned, making the mango even sweeter, juicier and leaving you with a sugary after effect.

Overall a very nice mix, probably one of the best mango flavours that I have had. The sweetener is definately a downside, but if you can handle switching wicks out more often, you’ll love this one just as much as I do.

Colour:

Clear

Scent:

Mango

Coil damage:

This didn’t gunk my coils but it did degrade my wicks quite a bit, I guess due to the sweeteners.

PG/VG Ratio:

30PG/70VG

Texture:

Fruity and cool

Steeping:

No steeping required.

Presentation:

The Blended range that I received came in standard plastic bottles but with eye dropper lids. The labels are very nice. They are black labels with gold shiny foil text on them, and all of the necessary info. Very classy.

Test rigs:

Odis O-Atty with single ss contact coil @ 0.2ohms on a coppervape mod and/or Frankenskull clone.
Serpent Mini RTA with 0.6 ohm single Clapton at 30 – 50watts
