eJuice Review 126: Ampersand by Symbolic Vapour

IMG_20161214_174101-01This week, Im going to review a relatively new juice line that was launched toward the end of 2016.
Symbolic Vapour hail from Western Australia, and have some pretty cool branding.

Each juice is named after a symbol (hence the name Symbolic Vapour). With juice names such as “Tilde”, “Question mark” and “Division”, and logos to match each one, their flavours certainly demand a bit of intrigue.

So without further ado, let’s get stuck into them!

Today I’ll be reviewing “Ampersand”.

You can pick up the Symbolic Vapour range from the their website @ http://www.symbolicvapour.com.au

From the website:

A juicy, sweet grape based juice that is different to almost any other grape juice. This is one juice most find very hard to put down!

The Review:

I’ve noticed that a lot of grape based juices are quite strong, and can give off a little bit of a soapy flavour. I can only assume this is because grape flavouring is quite light and in order to get maximum effect, companies put a lot of concentrate in. (thus making it a little over flavoured and soapy)

Another thing that I’ve noticed is many try and make their grape juices mimic grape bubblegum. Nothing wrong with that, after all its a natural progression as most grape concentrates do already have that hubba bubba grape bubblegum base nuance.

I’m happy to say that “Ampersand” is not like others in either regard.

“Ampersand” is quite a bitey, and sharp grape juice flavour. It’s not really a grape in the sense of eating the fruit, but more of a grape juice cordial.

It is sweet, and has a really nice juicy texture to it.

I do suspect that there may be some dragonfruit or something in here that levels the grape out, preventing any soapiness and adding more of a juicy nature to it. Perhaps there may even be a touch of blackcurrent in it, there does seem to be a slight tang to it.

Inhale and exhale are fairly similar. As with all juices the exhale carries more of the flavour forward, but there really aren’t any note changes or hidden background notes coming through depending on the length of the vape.

At low wattages, this is a fairly one dimensional flavour, grape juice is all I get, bump the wattage up a little and a nice tang bites you on the tongue.

A very nice, and simple flavour done right, if you’re a grape lover, you’ll really dig “Ampersand”.
